One of the best community made mods. Really immersive with new game-play mechanics. It was so fun to think again with portals! Fantastic work!

Hope there will be many sequels :)

A very interesting survival game. Definitely worth a try and with 1 or more friends. Excellent physics, game mechanics and more focus on combat than brutal farming. I love the fact that you can repair all of your items for free and that you can exit any time, anywhere, without losing progression (your body disappears instantly).

There is no better feeling than the moment you UNINSTALL ARK. This Season Pass has been nothing but a rip-off.
Official servers are a complete mess, constantly crashing, kiccking every single player out of the server every 15min.
And when that does not happen, the huge lag and rubberbanding because of the extremely poor infrastructure makes everything unplayable. I have given up to play Gen2 after 2 months since launch.
The developers are well aware of the issues and are silent.

Paid for something I can't enjoy - Ark in a nutshell. Stay away from this. Maybe Ark 2 will actually have a competent team behind it's development.

A Classic. Infinite fun with your friends. Versus mode is by far the most entertaining and you get to play as a special infected in order to bring hell upon the survivors. It's a buy!

Excellent game!

If you loved the Portal series and The Talos Principle, I recommend you grab this title too. Story might not as good, but it is still pretty immersive. Puzzles are decent and some of them pretty hard, but don't expect any headaches from these.

Graphics are really nice, easy controls and there is a handful of secrets to be discovered.

The game might be a little short though (explored everything in under 9 hours and wasn't in a rush), but it is definitely worth your time.

Physics is great in the game, you can destroy everything, has multiplayer, block-building system with A LOT of options and settings for various components. Fun space time at a great price!

*UPDATE 5: PVE is full of Chinese and Russian griefers that destroy your bases with exploits and bugs, lure in corrupted creatures, steal all your gear. You can do nothing about it. Developers ignore all the problems. They also introduce new bugs (ex. if you get to the edge of the map or touch the sky limit, you instantly die, without being able to retrieve your inventory). I lost thousands of hours of work due to griefing in a minute. STAY AWAY FROM THIS!!!

*UPDATE 4: A recent update made servers more stable with smoother gameplay. Gamebraking bugs like character deletion and prolonged times for support from game masters are still a thing.

*UPDATE 3: Our tribeowner's character got deleted during a rollback on a crashed server. After hundreds of hours invested in imprints. Not his fault. Everything gone. Ark's answer after 3 weeks!!!!! 3 freakin' weeks! (that's how bad he support is; if there were no tribemates everything would have auto-decayed weeks ago): we can't do anything, deal with it. They could have at least restored the whole XP, ascension and tek engrams. You can do it in single player. Certainly possible in multiplayer. Their policy is simply not to do it. There is no logical reason behind this. It was on a PVE server. Would have had no repercussions on anyone but the poor friend who can't enjoy the game anymore. He quit the game. Understandable. He did not deserve to be treated like dirt with a couple of cold and cynical sentences after waiting for such a long time for an answer, being an early access player and contributing to the development of the game with feedback and playtime.

The game does not deliver what it promises anymore in the steam store. You don't get to tame hundreds of dinos on every server you like - tamecap, you can lose everything because of a rollback, which gets us to the bad lag, high pings and server crashes whenever there are more than 20 players online on any official server, Aberration has so many gamebraking bugs that people simply won't play it and it basically got stuffed away by the devs since no more bugs have been fixed there since forever (I mean serious issues like getting stuck in the mesh all the time and losing your tame and inventory). Since the new bug reporting was implemented more than half a year ago, there was no reply whatsoever that they were working on some serious reported bugs, like the one mentioned above.

This is Ark 2019. You lose everything in a second from gamebraking bugs, poor administration from developers and support is awful.

Maybe the money they get from the game is just not enough anymore and they are forcing it to die. Maybe the new scam called Atlas is better at providing finances. But unless their support and policies change, there is no future for Ark.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Played during the Extinction Event (Free Weekend). Tried like everyone else to get a Steam code. The event was pretty difficult in that sens, since you had to keep that code for 4 hours before it was revealed to you. Other players could steal it from you anytime.

And here comes the first problem of one of the game modes - PvP: high level players rule the landscape, kill everything that moves and steal everything from you. You don't stand a chance. Advancing in levels is difficult and takes a loooooot of game hours.

But the biggest problem is the lack of optimisation. Don't trust the system requirements listed on the store page. Chances are with that configuration that the game won't even start. At the time of writing, you need a hell of a gaming PC to even get medium settings with decent FPS.

UPDATE: Ok, so a couple of years later and a brand new high-end gaming laptop that oozes raw power and the game is fantastic eye-candy. Beautiful, enchanting, immersive and captivating.

There is definitely a decline in the attention that the community gets from the developers. They need to pay a lot more attention to advices from the community. Optimisation is still an issue, especially for the newest hardware. A 7th generation i7 and a gtx1080 will struggle to mentain 60fps at epic settings.

PVP is the worst experience you can get from this game - simply put, there you can see the scumbags of humanity. Trolling, griefing and harassing new players is the motto.

PVE is delightful, but the lack of sufficient servers makes it a kind of crowded experience and you have to struggle to find your spot and good resources.

Playing together with a friend and forming a tribe is a must for this game to get the full experience.

It is definitely worth playing now, but beware the hefty price of the game and DLC (wait for sales) and the tremendous hardware requirements!

UPDATE 2: The biggest issue currently are tame-caped servers (you cannot tame any more creatures, cince a server can support only 5000 creatures for the usual maps and around 10000 for Ragnarok map 0 so basically 10 big tribes). With the Extinction DLC there are a lot of crashes and rollbacks on the servers, but the devs are working on it.

Fantastic game! Riddles, puzzles, fantastic graphics, philosophy. It will make you question everything. Really puts the brain to work. The story is good and keeps you wondering until the very end. It makes you want to find out the truth, find out what it is all about.

I'm truly impressed by the elegance and intelligent design of this game, as well as the subtle critique to religion. I'm left contemplating after each game session.

For science, humanity's only hope!

While it is pretty nice to solve puzzles with the gels, the STEAP price of 7 euros is not worth 2-3 hours of gameplay (you can get the bundle of Portal 2 and Portal at a far better price!).

You can actually get more free content for Portal 2 from the Workshop by playing community maps (there are even maps and campaigns with a story). Maybe this mod will get some interesting maps from the community, but those will be free too, so it still wouldn't justify the 7 euros.

To sum it up: nice idea, but short and expensive. Too little for too much.

A complex, well designed, hilarious space program simulator. It's a must for everyone interested in aviation, astronomy, space exploration. Constantly updated and there is plenty of community content; a ton of community mods actually!

Kerbalkind is best kind!

UPDATE:

The game has been released as a full version from some time now, got an engine update, huge performance improvements, bug eradication, a ton of new features and the community is as vibrant as alpha and beta stages, with lots of constantly updated and mentained mods. Probably one of the most helpful, kind, smart and passionate communities out there (visit the official forum and get a look yourself (http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/)

Space is the last frontier, now within everyone's grasp! It will take your breath away as you make your first spacewalk, land for the first time on another spacebody, as you see the sun from a strange new moon eclipsed by the rising gas giant on the horizon. It is simply amazing! The scale, the detail, the physics, everything stuns!

This is one of the greatest games out there, so beautiful and smart. You won't regret buying it and every cent is well deserved. The game keeps getting updates, development and ew features and is constantly evolving. The learning curve at the beginning is a bit difficult, but with enough patience and documentation, you'll quickly get the hang of it. For this aspect I recommend following Scott Mannley on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/user/szyzyg).

So stop asking yourself if you should get it. The answer is YES!, NOW!

2022 UPDATE: Why the hell haven't you sunken your your teeth in this awesome tribute to science yet? Buy it! For you, for everyone you hold dear, for every single person that loves space and neural stimulation. Stop reading! Go play it!
