$2.99 isn't that bad for something cosmetic and literally changes nothing about the actual gameplay. If you really want to compare it to something of equal value, this is better than buying loot boxes or a single skin for any other game. If it bothers you that much just wait a few months and the $3 DLC that's totally optional will be marked down so that you can afford your next cheeseburger or Starbucks.

And yeah, it could have just cost 99 cents but I ain't gonna be stingy about it cause I've had to pay more for less with games before. Hell, $60 for a lot of modern games is often too much. But this is a game with replay value so it pays for itself once the hours played start racking up.
