I mainly play on the Steam Deck with my wife on the computer, so thank you for introducing this absolutely useless update that will solve nothing whatsoever at the expense of locking a number of players out of the game. Modders have already figured out how to bypass the anti-cheat, so give yourselves a pat on the back for creating more problems instead of just having proper dedicated servers.

May I also add that Battleye is actually supported on Linux, and Rockstar just simply chooses not to enable it.

Okay to those who read the negative reviews and are worried about your safety and privacy: This game contains no form of malware/spyware/adware whatever "ware" you think of, I scaned the game with every anti malware and anti virus I can find, and they all came up as negative (you don't have to take my word for it, try it out yourself), this game is completely safe to play, the reason why people are so worried about this game, is because it requests admin priviledges, why that's the case you say? that's because the game contains a plugin that allows people who are running a 32bit OS to use more than 4 gigs of ram, which is very impressive and you have to give credits to the devs for coming up with such "wonder", that isn't something easy to pull off and that's why it requires admin priviledges basically, the devs even stated that they're working on a workarround to ease people's mind and remove the request thing so that it doesn't make people freak out, the only thing that this game collects from you, is your pc specs, which 99.9% of games use this, especially when they're on early access, that only helps them optimize the game better (which the devs are constantly working on), this is Tencent we're talking about, a company that owns massive market shares(also made PUBG mobile, just saying.) , the most famous one is Epic Games, they own 40% of that company, that's the company that made Unreal Engine and Fortnite, they even partnered with Microsoft to roll out an update to optimize their games, if you don't beleive me, then look it up, why in the world would they steal your data, also do you really think Valve would leave an infected game from such a huge company on their stores? this is a huge deal we're talking about, and Valve is most likely already aware of this.
In conclusion, this game is very fun, I have never really been a big fan of BR games but this one kinda stands out from the rest, it's just unfair that some people are spreading false claims about it to make people stay away from it, also the funny thing is most of the people who post the negative reviews have VAC bans, makes you think.
