I reinstalled Stellaris this weekend to try and give it a go again after a few years away from it, as I became dissolusioned with the multiple complete re-works of gameplay as new expansions where released.

Stellaris was a pretty good game, however it has long hit that stage in any paradox interactive game build where they have rebuilt the game completely for a small core of players at the expense of everyone else. It now somehow even buggier than it was at launch, which is absolutely atrocious considering how long the game has been out for. The way Paradox has also decided to run DRM also means that mods, which are often essential to play a paradox game due to their bugginess, cause you be unable to meet achievements. However, due to the amatuerish way they are verifying this also locks you out for say, Installing through Steam.

It was a pretty awesome game once, but I wouldn't waste your money on it now, and that's a damn shame.
