First, I want to preface this review by saying I played this game in 1440p on an RTX 3080. Ultra Preset (minor tweaks), RTX on, DLSS on quality.

(TLDR at bottom)

Understandably this game had a rocky release. People were expecting levels of polish far beyond what CDPR delivered. I am not here to defend CDPR and their advertising/whoever makes the decisions on when the game is "ready" to be released. I suspect the actual developers are not the ones that make that call and would have preferred to continue working on the game prior to release.

The day one build was definitely filled with plenty of minor bugs and had many "quirks and features" as my man Doug would say. The day two patch addressed many of the most common issues so I wont dwell on day one too long. I played about 6 hours on the day one patch and the 40+ other hours were done on the following days. For this reason most of my statements will be based on the day two patch.

I know this differs for everyone, but my game never once crashed and I rarely had gameplay affecting bugs. Many of the most common one's I would see are listed below:

Strange physics, cars generally glitching out, phone calls/dialogue overlapping, my character was bald every time I looked in the mirror (I had hair in game), loot disappearing, bodies vanishing.

The single most common bug was taking fatal fall damage off random objects. Obviously other people had other issues, but that was the primary one for me.

I don't want you to read the list of technical issues and draw the conclusion that this is a "buggy game" or "unfinished mess" or anything else along those lines. I believe the real frustration lies in the misleading or dishonest statements CDPR made on the game. They delayed the release of the game several times, and just about every time, they assured the community that it was for the greater good. It was insure that the game was thoroughly tested and polished, ready to play on all systems. CDPR outright failed to deliver a bug free game as they showed in their trailers, gameplay showcases, and promotional content.

However CDPR did deliver an incredibly detailed and immersive world with fantastic story direction, interesting characters, superb voice acting, stellar visuals, and captivating gameplay. I truly do believe if you come into the game with realistic expectations and capitalize on what the game does well, you will come out loving the game you play. I wont get into any parts of the story here, but trust me, if you play it out and take advantage of all the content the game has to offer I think you'll have a good time.

If this game continues development anything like the Witcher 3, I am looking forward to future updates and DLC.

TLDR; The game is fantastic, definitely one of the best story games I have played in years. The game certainly has is issues and I hope CDPR address them. If you can look past the veil of negativity clouding the release of this game I highly recommend it.

theme song great, gameplay pretty good. lacks content

Update as of 11/27/2019

Game has outstanding visuals, gameplay has improved greatly and content has improved. I do not like the fact they released paid DLC in an early access game though.

Theme song is still great.

Early Access Review
To put it simply this game is great. Now it can seem a bit grindy at times but when you get down to it, you have the chance to rule an empire, or spark a rebellion. The game is consistantly getting updated with new features every week. The voluptuous posteriors and varying penile lengths and girths are also a great feature to this game.
