I have about 20 hours on this game online and off, and I have to say, if you are thinking about getting this game, get your wallet out and give it a try. It has a little for everyone.

Gameplay:
I like to describe it as if the challenge of Getting Over It and the platformer elements of Mario combined to make this masterpiece. On many occasions, I got extremely frustrated, and wanted to quit, but didn’t. It was fun and made me feel determined. Every nook and cranny is integrated in some way into the game. It was well crafted to make it so you definitely won’t be beating the game the first try without a death. On many occasions, you have to get as far as you can, as fast as you can to find out what to do next. If the game doesn’t feel challenging enough, the strawberries are quite hard to obtain, and can even affect the ending of the game. Finally, if you so desire, Matt added secret achievements to unlock a whole new part of the game.

Plot:
It’s too relatable. I can hardly explain how hard it hit me, and in a time where I was feeling the same emotions (I MEAN THE SAME EMOTIONS) as the main character Madeline, as she tries to overcome her mental health along with climbing a mountain. The personification of her inner demons only add on to the player seeing inside her mind, as at times she literally tries running from her inner self. I’m going to stop talking now, and just say that if you struggle with a mental illness, then you will connect with the plot.

Overall, I give Celeste a 10/10. Easily. Give it a try.

Don't Buy. It doesn't live up to what the devs promised and there is barely a game. Everything is the exact same.

DO NOT PURCHASE NO MANS LIE
