So much to do, so much to see, so much to rob, so much to kill, so much to read...

This was a game I'd looked at and followed for a while, one that I wasn't sure I'd play much of... however, the 39hrs I've played have been spent completing only the 1st act!

Most of my time has been finding every little bit of loot possible, every way to approach different situations etc, but the game is so detailed I'm sure I've probably still missed lots!

I'm one of those people who once has completed a game, never goes back and does a re-play with other characters. This might just be the first..

Positives:

> too many to list

Negatives:

> I should have slept more (IRL sleeping that is)

If you liked the old school Red Orchestra games you will love this!
I was on the fence with this game with it being an EA title but even though this game has bugs, with some that can be very frustrating, I would still have been happy to pay more than the amount I paid for the game even in it's current EA state.

Teamwork and communication are vital in this game! It can make the difference from being pinned down on your last defence point, to pushing back the enemy to their HQ and winning the map!

If you don't like teamwork, communication or following the instructions of a squad leader then this game isn't for you!

----------------
Positives:

>Stunning and immersive graphics

>Great map design which encourages teamwork to win

>The core of the game feels very solid, a good balance of realism and arcade, fun enough to keep you playing until the early hours

>Although buggy, a good voice communication system

>Friendly and helpful community

>Devs are listening to the community and releasing regular fixes to bugs along with improvements

Needs improvements:

>Sounds - Not game breaking but they could do with updating

>Better squad management - I have found some people will take a class only for the primary weapon and not contribute to their
class (e.g taking the sniper spotter class to get a machine gun and not spotting or placing an outpost for your sniper)

>VOIP - A way to mute or adjust the volumes of certain channels. It's hard work trying to concentrate on instructions and intel from the
SLs and commander when local or squad chat is going off and vice versa.

The game is dead and I don't think any kind of update can bring it back from this, not even the latest 2.0 update. With all the new games coming out in the last part of the year this has had it's chance and failed to impress. It really is a shame as they had a promising build up and it could have done so well!

The game feels like a blend of CS and C O D which should have been epic, but somewhere it's lacking something that I don't think they will find. As a base game it just isn't fun, that said if jump shooting and jumping around corners like a lunatic is your thing then this is for you. Just remember you'll probably be against bots and sometimes the odd one or two players.

The other problem for me was performance, I'm not going to lie my rig isnt brilliant (i7 930, 16GB ram, GTX670 2GB) but it's more than capable of handling this game. On the lowest settings not only does it look terrible, it doesn't perform well. I get 100+ FPS and still experience a lot of frame freezing and stuttering (please note this doesnt happen on any games of higher quality), and for a game that is fast paced these stutters make it impossible for you to play.

All in all I'm glad that I made enough money from other games on steam to enable me to basically get this for free, I just wish I played 5.4hrs less of it so I could spend it on another game more worthy.

Not played a lot of it yet but seems like an improvment on last year. Player pricing is a bit high though for many of the players.

You also get silly ♥♥♥♥ like this happen..

You know it's a great game when the argument with your other half isn't because you've been playing for too long but because you've had more goes then she has and it's her turn now.

None of these menus/cars with MONSTER drinks advertised everywhere. No chav soundtrack 2k15. No flashback BS. None of the crap you found in previous DiRT games.
This is just pure rally, and it's unforgiving!

Colin would be proud of this one!

Awesome game! Tactical, realistic (compared to most shooters - COD etc), needs good team work to win...and all for £12! Doesn't get better.
