-PROS
Good mecha design
A great layer of destructibility
Good encounter design, I never felt cheated when it came to encountering the enemy like I did in the XCOM games.
Flanking mechanics lead to interesting tactics
Combat looks good and sounds great
A fantastic amount of customization
A good soundtrack
The plot premise looks interesting and I'm eager to see where it goes
Aimed shots feel great to pull off
The game pulls off that PS1 look very well

-CONS
I am slightly concerned about the role melee weapons will have as they seemingly lack the options they had in FM games.
The fire effects, particularly in the final battle takes a chunk out of the fps
Shoulder shields don't seem very useful.
The Dialogue and some writing in the character profiles isn't the best and doesn't seem to be in-keeping with the time-period they are trying to tell in this fictional world.
I am cautious about the skill system as they are horrifically slow to level up.
I would like the player to have more agency over the parts/weapons they scavenge from fights.
Non-Krieger enemies (IE Helicopters, APCs, Tanks) would be nice to have for spiced up encounters.

I can't fully recommend the game to a new player considering the state it is in, It has been left to rot or in some cases even made worse such as valve removing chat functionality from F2Ps or the cosmetics and unusual effects that serve mostly to bloat its file size rather than giving us anything exciting.
Hopefully Valve will soon realize that ignoring TF2 will cause far more trouble than just maintaining it.

Incredibly fun and the new postal dude lines are great.
