Dead Island Definitive Edition holds up remarkably well for its age. As a hack and slash game, it offers a lot of fun, fast-paced combat that keeps you engaged.

The tropical island is both unique and immersive, something different from your typical zombie apocolypse setting. The story is engaging enough to keep players interested, but the real draw of the game is the satisfyingly brutal combat. That being said, the game can feel slightly repetitive at times. Though, the game's upgrade system and variety of weapons and skills help to keep things fresh and interesting.

Overall, Dead Island Definitive Edition is a solid choice for anyone looking for a fun, action-packed hack and slash game. Its age doesn't detract from the gameplay, and the updated graphics make it even more visually appealing. While it can be slightly repetitive at times, the game's addictive combat and upgrade system make it well worth playing.

Great Game. Highly Recommended.

Often server issues, but that's a good thing... shows how popular the game is!

In the games original state it was very unstable and to some extent unplayable. The servers were questionable and the majority of my early game time was spent attempting to connect to the shift servers to allow me to play coop "Your connection has timed out. Please check your network" .

However, 50+ hours and numerous deaths later the game is a work of art. BL3 is undoubtedly the best thing since the release of BL2, taking it back to the original excitement with a game so different from the rest. Gearbox have done amazingly recreating the; colours, weapons, elements, vehicle customisation, and other features too. Additionally, there are plenty of missions to complete - ultimately more than you will bargain for when trying to complete the game at 100%.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is a great GTA-inspired, open world, game that is 100% worth your £2 in the Steam Summer Sale. I'd even recommend the game at it's typical price point. It's that good!

Pros:
  • Reasonable variation in mission styles
  • Better story-line than GTA
  • Cheap price tag
  • Awesome mechanical combat - skill based
  • COLLECTABLES! SO MANY COLLECTABLES!
Cons:
  • Skill levels all capped at 10. I was awarded the 50% completion achievement at around 13 hours and all skill trees were maxed. Subsequently leaving side missions feeling less rewarding.
  • Parkour options sometimes questionable. Stuck in the ocean? Unlucky. Swim for an eternity to find the nearest vaulting interaction.
  • Vehicle mechanics are strange initially...but you soon become accustom to them.
  • Virtually zero customisable keys for player preference, nor a borderless-windowed mode either (which caused a few crashing issues when tabbing).

Absolutely awesome DLC and especially more so considering it's is free!

It's nice to see Gearbox are still paying attention to their old games and their community.

Funny Game, although, it only has about 20 minutes game play until the fun stops.

Almost six years on Grid 2 is still a perfectly viable choice for a racing game - if of course, you like racing games.

The game offers consistent progression throughout enabling you, as the player, to play on; different tracks, in different regions (Asia, Europe, America...), all whilst exploring the different vehicles. Although despite the versatility, after the third season [for me] the game did start to become tedious with constant repetition of similar events before the WRC would be unlocked. I appreciate the games concept is to increase your popularity which can only be done by completing the events, and objectives, however it soon became boring.

Moreover, the game could benefit from a patch addressing the stability of the game. Often the games resolution would change on launch, or would revert to windowed when tabbed leaving the mouse cursor annoyingly visible on the screen. The windowed mode would frequently cause keystrokes to be missed which required tabbing out and back in - which by then your flashback time has expired.

Ignoring the grindy-ness and the small issues, Grid 2 clearly was ahead of its time considering the driving mechanics and graphics that the game beautifully highlights. The voice narration seemed advanced too in the sense that it wasn't over-dramatic nor cheesy, and the car customisation helped to promote a different dynamic from games such as Dirt.

Despite the few issues with the game, Grid 2 is a fun and intensive racing game that everyone should pickup and play. Although, if you're wanting to play online, it might be best to purchase a newer game >.<
