I was incredibly excited about this game, and while it's not everything I initially wanted when I first saw it, I understand that it's still in early access and should evolve more with time.
I didn't play it right away, and it looks like I missed the initial game play sequence from before Realms Reborn. But from what I see from most folks, I don't think I missed too much by waiting to play.

The start can be a bit like drinking from a fire hose with all the different crafting materials and a little lack of guidance. But after just a few hours things will start to click and all those materials that let you craft your build to how you want to play will be a boon instead of a hindrance.
I'm actually excited to see that new areas as I cross over into a new realm. The new materials, enemies, the environments its honestly pretty fun. All the areas are also gorgeous, the colors and art of the zones are down right a good time to look around in.

It does come with a few down sides. The story is still a little half baked and still needs some TLC (it's still in early access so this should get better over time). The amount of resources at the start and the small storage spaces can be a bit overwhelming, but honestly its fairly similar to most other games like this. The worlds can feel a little empty, I hope this is remedied as the game exits early access.

I think most of my issues will be corrected and/or fleshed out over time. So I'll continue to play until I burn through the content, and then I'll come back once the game is actually wrapping up.

If you like customization and abundant choice I recommend Nightingale. I think in the next year/months we could have something great on our hands. I would at least check it out.
