just don't bother, the jank is too much, the next gen is missing. I got the key for $7 and i still feel scammed. It's a shame i cant get it refunded.

the only reason this game doesn't get a 10/10 from me is because there's no option to romance Takemura.

A mixed bag of opinions. Going it a positive review since i bought the bundle for dirt cheap. I was looking forward to playing both the first and second part, got this one for free sort of. Bought it on the Xbox Series and could never go past the first couple of missions because of low fps and janky controls.

GRAPHICS:

9/10. London is beautiful and its such a blast at night time with interesting location and streets. Was a fresh change of scenery coming from other open-world games.

OPTIMIZATION:
Poorly optimized, good luck playing on high graphics with Ray tracing and pray for 60 fps. With a 3070 i could barely keep 60 fps with ray tracing indoors (All high). Had to play without RT and was getting around 80 fps and dips into 50 on the streets.

GAMEPLAY
Too much jank, players clipping out, enemies randomly spawning in and aggroe'd towards you. It would get really annoying. Alot of interesting hack options are gone from WD1 and WD2. And just alot of glitched cutscenes. Interesting concept with recruit anyone but the voice acting and player models were horrible. Alot of cutscenes were just bad and awkward and a cringefest.
Also, just use the spiderbot and AR clock and you're done with all the missions.

STORY
Nothing extra-ordinary with an ending one could've easily predicted. Wish they could've done better but eh Ubisoft.

SIDE MISSIONS
Assassin side mission was a fun one to do the rest were meh. Also liberating boroughs was so annoying and there were practically no rewards for it. No voice lines or dialogues after you've completed every borough, literally nothing. No rewards, for liberating boroughs, nothing on the news nah. It's just here you go, free agent to recruit.

MICROTRANSACTIONS
Interesting masks, characters like Aiden, Wrench all locked behind a paywall. Even if you own the DLC.

6/10 at best. Leaves alot to be desired, could've been an amazing game but oh well.

TLDR: ONLY BUY AT SALE WHEN ITS $10-$12, OR NOT WORTH IT

Oh boy, where do we begin.

For starters, I have been following this game for as long as it has been development, since the day it was leaked online with BlackPanthaa and other youtubers discussing about it. I was really hyped. Having loved all the newest entries from NFS Reboot to NFS Heat (Including the confused but fun NFS Payback). But in the current state of the game, the future for NFS looks really bleak.

The game is poorly optimized, there's no other way around it. EA's launcher has to be the worst thing ever. Origin was pure gold compared to the state the current launcher is in. Launcher aside, i spent a good 2-3 hours trying to make the game work. It would freeze up and would refuse to load. After hours of searching for a fix, upgrading graphic drivers, deleting DX12 files, disabling launchers. I was finally able to get to the story mode screen. After that it still froze and refused to work. After countless attempts i finally got through to play the game. As of writing this review, it still takes me minimum 5-6 attempts with the crappy launcher to get the game to work. Not only this, but the game is poorly optimized for PCs, even decent ones. Now, I by far don't have a very high end PC but i still think my PC is capable enough to run the game on medium graphics at stable 60 FPS.

But my god, i was getting 40-50ish fps on med with stutters every 2 seconds. Hitting the gas? Stutters. Hitting the NOS? Stutters. Visual effects while drifting? Hell yeah it stutters. Literally every action happening in-game, it would stutter. Now, I thought of lowering the graphics and using FSR, but the game would freeze and crash every time, I'd try changing the graphic settings. I finally, got to set bordless windows and low graphics through GEFORCE EXPERIENCE so now I do get around 80ish FPS but stutters into 40-50 FPS range and it gets annoying sometimes. Even Vsync doesn't help. It's an absolute fail in this category. Even on an SSD my buildings are not textured properly, missing objects ingame, missing hoods and car bumpers (TF?)


- Now this is where the game really shines. Amazing visuals and anime-ish looks. I know this might not be for everyone but for me it was amazing. I loved all the visual effects the game had to offer. It was a different and unique way and I was easily able to go funky and overboard with my car customization. For people, who're not into it, you can always turn it off. Even on low graphics, it looked gorgeous in the rain and different weather conditions.

The gameplay as expected of NFS is amazing for me as always. NFS is probably the only game out there which scratches my itch and love for JDM vehicles and their customization. Amazing bumpers, body kits, wacky over-the-top spoilers and underglows. Amazing vinyls made by the community. It's such a treat to make your car. However, i find the car list a little lacking. A little more love for JDM wouldn't hurt no one. The races are fun, the cars are fun. The cops aren't as annoying as they were in previous versions. In my 20 hour playthrough I haven't been overwhelmed. not once, even on 5 stars heat either. It's fun taking down cops and its not the right amount of challenging. (I'm playing on normal difficulty). The race tracks are nice, drifting is okay-ish and i absolutely loved Takeover events. (ASAP ROCKY 4 THE WIN). The meetup idea was fun and i liked the touch along with the betting thing. However, i'd suggest adding more rim designs and the ability to change FWD into RWD or AWD.

The story as usual is meh, but a little better compared to other NFS's so far? Well, as expected of a NFS game however, my character and some side-character convos were unbearable. They were cringe. I don't know what target audience were they focusing on but me being from the GEN Z, found it really cringey and just horrible. My player sounded like an idiot most of the time, trying hard to be funny. Or side-characters tried making lame jokes that weren't funny at all. Oh and the cops were sometimes really funny. I don't remember a single time where a cop didn't hurl out abuses or called me an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or a scumbag or an idiot for driving straight into the wall. 10/10 reminded me of good old MW lobbies.

This game would've been a positive for me if EA would've fixed their stuff. I was so hyped to play this game, saved up to buy it and this is what i get? An unfinished mess which lags and stutters everytime. In the current state of the game, I'd only recommend it to hardcore fans who desperately wanna play the game despite the problems and hurdles it offers. Everyday, I struggle launching the game and take a good 30-40 minutes before i finally get into a session which ends after an hour because the game crashed. If you can deal with all these problems and have a somewhat decent PC to run this unoptimized mess of a game. Go ahead, get it on sale. But if you aren't too tech-savvy and can't troubleshoot much, you're better getting it off on a console. This game is like having a Supra in your garage. You love the sight of it, you wanna drive it, but the damn thing never starts. Such a good game , haven't had so much fun playing any racing games in ages, but it just doesn't work most of the time. I just wish it was a little more polished.

Great game but unoptimized as hell. If you don't have a 2070 or above, forget playing the game on good graphics. Pray that your saves don't get auto-deleted or your game just starts in the first place.

Hands down one of the best looking and aesthetically pleasing drifting games out there. The graphics look really pretty on Ultra settings (obv not as good as AAA Games). The drifting is nice, the car collection and customization is amazing. The vinyls are amazing. The updates keep bringing new things. However, after a good 3-4 hours of the game you don't feel like you have much to do. Yes, drifting and touges with friends online is a blast, however, I've spent way more time on the mobile version of game with different modes such as Multiplayer.
The developer keeps bringing new updates to the game, so here's hoping Multiplayer mode and ranks would be included in the upcoming updates. The game as of now is a sold 8.5/10. Would just love to have more competitive options such as a proper drifting or time attack mode against friends and people online.

My friends found out, now they no longer talk to me, but i have this game to pull me out of loneliness. 10/10
