I had the game before it turned free to play, but it was worth the money! Saying this, if you haven't tried it, why not try it now, that it's completely free? You've nothing to loose!

You have an infinite number os maps to play on, an infinite number of different weapons, nine classes and many game modes.
If that doesn't cut it the game still has full integration with steam workshop!

Team play is also important here. If you go rambo style, the probability is that you will end up dead sooner or later.

Each character has it's own charisma and kind of "personality". You can find items while playing and use them to create your own weapons or to equip your characters.

The graphics are good with some nice effects, nothing of the other world...but who cares? The fun to play this overcomes them by far.

The options menu is well stashed, you have many, many settings to choose from, nothing is missing there, yet, is not confusing at all.

The sounds of the weapons and general sound fx follow the fun theme of the game and the music themes are just hilarious!

The gameplay is something you should be used to when playing Valve games, different from each game, but simple and awesome!

Go for it!

This game had so potential.
I like the idea of constructing a city from scratch, but this game just doesn't cut it.
The graphics are nothing special for these days.
Sometimes you construct a special building that doesn't do nothing.

But what really pisses me off is that the game lags pretty bad and it's not just with me.
To sum it: The game had a great potential, but it's broken.

Think twice before buying it.

This game will eat many, many hours of your time if you let it. It's easily one of the best turn based strategy games ever produced!
I never played a Civilization game before, but this made me regret that.

At first the hexagonal type of gameplay feels a bit strange, but quickly you understand that is a very good system.
The game has many known world leaders (more if you buy the DLC's) you can play with, each with it's own perks.

The graphics are very good, even when you close in on the units and building, the quality remains there.

About the sound i can tell you that it's very realistic for a strategy game. I didn't like the soundtrack much, doesn't feel right in the game, but it could be just me.

In my opinion it should have more cinematics, maybe when you were entering war, or signing a peace treaty for example.

I just love the way the game goes... you can win by different ways (war, science, culture) choose your enemies and allies, get betrayed, the evolution of times and consequent technologies, the experience earned by units and many many features i haven't even found about.

Just be careful if you're going to buy the game, you may turn anti social!

I'm a chicken when it comes to scary video games, so i was worried that i wouldn't even play this game when i bought it in the steam sales.
At first i disabled the sound and played with music, but after a while i jumped through that fear and had to turn on the sound. I'll explain why.

A very good story, very immersive, that kind of story that keeps you glued to the screen, it's rare these days.

A refreshing gameplay. You'll find a simple flashlight more useful than a shotgun in the game and it has some simple puzzles too. It gets a bit repetitive though. Go from here, to there, now there, now go back, now there again... but the story compensates for it.

The graphics are amazing, period!

The sound fits 100% in this kind of game. You always get the feeling that you really are in the dark and that you will eventually be attacked by surprise.

There are some collectibles you can get. If you get them all in the first playthrough, nice. If you don't, i don't think the game makes much effort for you to play it again and grab them.
