Early Access Review
Yomi 1 started off as a physical card game that later got a digital adaption. I owned both and while I enjoyed the game I had mixed opinions on it. Years later, Yomi 2 returns as a digital first title with a physical version coming later.

Yomi 2 fixes a lot of the issues I had with the original game. Everything feels streamlined and cleaner. The digital version is leaps and bounds superior to the original in terms of presentation and features. Gameplay wise, the swap mechanics and smaller decks provides more opportunity for bluffing and reading your opponents and allows you to get cards back to build that next combo or defensive option. I love the idea of gems to introduce a nice level of customization without being too much and providing nice variability with the characters.

The single player mode is a lot of fun to play through when you don't feel like playing against other players. I higly recommend looking at: https://wiki.gbl.gg/w/Yomi_2 to see how much depth there is to this game.

Definitely one of the better games I backed on Kickstarter. It's a very beautiful 2d mecha action platformer that has an interesting story, great action and a lot of customization.

Puzzle Strike is a video game adaptation of a board game that's an adaptation of a video game called Super Puzzle Fighter. Yes, that weird Street Fighter spin-off game that plays like Tetris, but isn't quite Tetris. So how does it work? This game is actually a deck-builder similar to games like Dominion. Unlike most deck-builder, this one has a lot more interaction between players and the ultimate goal is to defeat your opponent by crashing Gems into your opponent's gem pile (similiar to filling up your screen in Tetris or Super Puzzle Fighter). The game is also a bit assymetric compared to other deck-builder games in which each player selects a character. Each character has 3 special ability "chips" (cards) that makes them different from other characters changing up how a person plays the game and the strategy they employ. There is more to the game but this, like Yomi, is easy to learn but challenging to master. The PC adaptation is solid, and I think it plays better than the physical boardgame counter-part due to everything being automated.

Yomi is a video game adaptation of a card game that's an adaptation of a fighting video game. Say what? In Yomi, each character is represented by an unique deck that consists of Attacks, Throws, Dodges, Blocks, and Jokers. What makes each character unique are the variable numbers of each cards, character abilities, life, etc. The game plays like a rock-paper-scissor game where things like attacks beats throws, throws beat dodges and blocks, etc. But the game is so much more than that. Depending on which card you use, winning gives you different benefits. Winning with an attack leaves your opponent open to combos (playing straights or special cards to link cards), or winnign with a dodge lets you counter-attack with a single attack. I own the physical card game and this PC version is very faithful to the original source. I highly recommend it to people who love card games or always wanted to play a fighting game but are not too great with inputs, memorizing moves, and other stuff.

This game is what the last Sim City game should've been. That's all I have to say.

I backed this game on kickstarter and was pleasantly surprised with the game. The graphics and art direction for the game are very well done. The game itself reminds me of a roguelike, but closer in vein to Wizardry, Legend of Grimmock or even Etrian Odyssesy. The game story and lore reminds me a lot of Demon/Dark Souls and the narration really adds a lot to the flavor of the game and combat. From what I played so far, the game is fun.

This is definitely one of the better sci-fi roguelike games. What makes it more unique is this game has you controlling a squad of marines exploring a space ship trying to surive. I played the early alpha when it was free, and recently bought it during the Steam sale. This game has been improved greatly since I last played. The sprites are more detailed and much better animated, the UI has been cleaned up, and a lot of new gameplay elements have been added. If you are a fan of roguelike games or squad based strategy games, this is it. I'm sorry Space Hulk. You were a fantastic boardgame, but this one plays much better as a PC game ;)

I've been watching the development of Monaco for the past 2 years. Has the wait been worth it? Yes. This is one of the best indie co-op games I have ever played. Imagine Ocean Eleven, but even more chaos during the heist with things going on all over the map. The game recently got updated with Steamworks and a map editor, so the replayability on this game just got even better.

This game is amazingly awesome. The music, the gameplay, the graphics. This indie game is just so wonderfully executed. I'm a huge fan of Super Meatboy but this game is on a whole other world. If you haven't bought it yet, WHY HAVEN'T YOU? Ever since I saw the videos and previews I knew this game was a Day One buy for me. And I have not regretted it. Beyond epic game with great gameplay, graphics and music...

This sits on top of my most favorite horror action game. I feel a lot of the horror and suspense comes from trying to survive and manage your ammo rather than the random "scripted" scare factor the game throws at you. The game looks and plays fantastic. Multiplayer isn't as good and it feels like a bad L4D/L4D2 multiplayer game. This game should've had a co-op horde like gamemode.
