Blood is a game with a gothic and macabre atmosphere with a lot of dark humor and violence.

The game's protagonist, Caleb, worships a god named Tchernobog, but is betrayed by him where he has his beloved Ophelia dead, and his cult friends dead too. Caleb refuses to die, and years later he comes back to life. Now Caleb begins his hunt for Tchernobog, willing to take revenge on him and everyone else in his path.

Several weapons can be used, among these some not so usual, such as a pitchfork, dynamite, vodoo dolls . All the music in the game fits perfectly with the environment and is memorable, along with the characters' dialogues, like the enemies with their cultist dialect called Domus Durbentia plus the lines of Caleb who has a voice dubbed by Stephan M. Weyte.
