Early Access Review
You might give this one good look and think, "Ohhh no, a retro dungeon crawing game with Furry characters? Pass!" And that's where I wanna point out that I've never ever felt so welcomed by the community. Atlyss as a whole in its state right now feels like one of those lost media games you'd find on older consoles (Dreamcast is a good example.) While updates have been slow, I still find myself coming back to talk to the community, spending plenty of time to communicate with fellow players.

Even if you aren't a furry, you could probably get this for a friend and yourself, and go into your own server and enjoy most of the games content alone. That's what me and my friend group did, and we had a good time running through most of the things the game had to offer. Plenty of classes, plenty of music, and plenty of references all around (SOME OF THOSE SOUNDS ARE FROM QUAKE, :P)

Ps. Don't slap Angela! She's just doin her job!

Face it, if it wasn't given out for free. I feel like alot of us (including me) would've probably been pissed off at rockstar, eventually just going off to go play something else, or go play the legacy version. Most, if not. MANY issues I had with Legacy has been fixed and null and void in this version, albeit a few hiccups here and there. After playing for a few hours with my best friends I can say that it's worth it (ONLY) if you got it for free. Even if it's free with your purchase of Legacy

That being said, I still have my own issues with Rockstar and their choices toward the franchise. But I won't let that blind my own review and tell me elsewhat. You're getting your bang for a buck here. You get the "next gen" versions of the same game that was ported to ps5 and series x, that you've PROBABLY had for over a decade at this point.

I am so glad this is still up on the store. Not only is this my favorite popcap game besides Zuma's revenge, It brings me great memories of the times I used to watch my dad and mom play it on the family computer, hell, my aunt played this and I watched her play it, she was a pro at this game!

Anyways, This game still holds up. It's a brilliant time waster, and the music? Oh the music. It's wonderful. Calming even.

I wish the other popcap titles were still here, there's quite a few of them missing possibly because of them being delisted, or something I dunno.

In the state that infinite is in currently, I believe that it's a huge step ahead of where we were during the launch era of the game. Now that you can mix cores and coatings, Its much better to customize and create your own spartan. It's where we should've been ages ago.

The games got a good campaign, and the multiplayer is all over the place, but. If you like halo enough and want to give it a shot after 4 and 5 being disappointments, you'll probably like it.

Amazing MMO, Welcoming Community, and most importantly. The story is absolutely amazing. You might wanna consider the free trial beforehand, as it goes up to stormblood (level 70) and doesn't restrict you with the whole '30 days' worry you'll have each month. Though you're going to be very limited with communication and you cannot join FC's, nor make friends either.

While it steers far away from what the original two games do, Saints Row 3 goes for a more "over the top" approach. Sometimes hitting, and sometimes missing certain concepts. But that doesn't stop the game from being a fun, good ol time. Unlike SOME OTHER GAMES IN THE SERIES (*COUGH* REBOOT *COUGH* *COUGH* GAT OUT OF HELL *COUGH*)

Honestly, it's a great game, the voice acting is brilliant from all voices, the story direction could be a *little* bit better, but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying the game yourself. The game's over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ top. You can get your bang for your buck even without the DLC applied. You'll have even more fun with a buddy by your side, it's a whole different experience with a friend. I know it did with me during the pandemic!

Overall? It's a bloody brilliant game, yes. Some of the jokes in the game haven't aged too well. And the pacing is all over the place (you can finish the game in just about 12 hours if you do not do most of the non forced side content in the map) the game, in this current day of 2025 is absolutely worth the price, even if its on sale.
