I guess it's best to call this a simpler and shorter version of "The Room" games. Overall, I liked it, but in comparison, it's overpriced. If you're going to get it, I recommend getting it on sale at a considerable discount.

When I play a puzzle game, I want to feel the satisfaction of solving the puzzles, but I didn't get that with this game. It came down to trial and error rather than logic and reasoning. Also thrown in is a mystery which is slowly revealed through crew logs you get access to from solving puzzles. By the time I accessed the ship's bridge, I found the puzzles so tedious, I used a guide to finish the rest. I was hoping the mystery had a satisfying end, but instead I found it too open-ended and anti-climatic. There were a couple things I liked, mainly the art style and the environmental puzzles.

As a fan of Sci-Fi/Action/Horror, this game hit the spot and still remains one of my favorite. Special mention to how the hud is integrated into the game: health is visible on the characters' backs and ammo count, items and directions are all holographic projected letting you remain immersed. My only complaint is the zero-g movement: I like Dead Space 2's free-floating thrustering over Dead Space's magnetic boot jumping.
