I played Monkey Island 1 on the Amiga 500 in the beginning of the 90s, and have loved it and its sequel ever since. English was my second language but I still played them for hours on end, captivated by the humor, atmosphere and artistry. I enjoyed 3, 4 and Tales, certainly, but none of them captured the same magic for me.

Now, 30 years or so after i played the first game, Return to Monkey Island managed to do so. For 10 hours I was back in the Caribbean, having an adventure together with Guybrush and the others. I could remark on some minor quibbles but they're not important, I basically loved every minute of it. Smartly streamlined game-play, fun puzzles with a smooth difficulty curve (play on hard if you have any experience with point-and-clickers), dialogue that has been refined to a shine while still having the same wit and whimsy as before. The story is not really important as usual, but the pace is great and the framing story cute and heartwarming. The theme of the magic of childhood and the pains (and joys) of becoming an adult (dare I even say old?) resonated with me, and the ending genuinely hit me pretty hard "in the feels" as you say. I give Return to Monkey Island a heartfelt recommendation, Of course I would love another game in the series, but this is a great last entry that does its roots justice, and more.

Completely unplayable due to graphical glitches. Some could be fixed by playing in windowed mode, but the mouse cursor would still disappear, making the game impossible to play. It seems in dire need of a patch to make it playable on newer computers.

It's good but I honestly preferred the game that came before it. Bigger doesn't equal better, and the huge focus on collecting stuff kills the pacing. After you've beaten the game some areas can only be reached by teleporting which sort of defeats the purpose of the game being open-world. Also, the enemy encounters were better designed in the first game, and the upgrades were better integrated into the story. On its own it's still a good game, and the areas look beautiful. The hidden tombs are fun and I hope there will be even more of them in the third game.

tldr: It's good but I preferred the pacing and encounter design of the first game.

This is the best game in the MGS-series - gameplay-wise. Excellent controls, and a million ways to approach the objectives. Also, the game has the best AI-controlled canine partner in any game ever. You should play or at least watch a video of the previous games - MGS3, Peace Walker, and Zero Grounds - before playing. At least ZG is mandatory since it's obvious it was meant to be a prologue to this game.

Best Telltale-style game ever made, and that includes the Telltale games. It is beautiful to look at, has great indie-music, and some actual puzzles. And to top it off - the story, while not always well-written, does a great job of keeping the player involved all the way to the end. Definitely recommended!

Great game! This might be my favorite of the RE games. Fun coop (plug in a second controller and press start when you're given control of the characters) where the characters aren't clones of each other but have specific skills and abilites. The story won't win any rewards but is goofy fun with some great lines and some genuinely creepy moments. Keep in mind that the game has TWO endings so don't be discouraged if you get the bad one the first time through. The campaign is designed for multiple playthroughs, with collectibles, rankings, and three separate game modes. The four episodes took me around 10-12 hours to beat first time through, but there's also two bonus episodes that should add another 1.30 hours or so. I immediately started another playthrough and had just as fun.

If you're into some more mindless shooting and grinding, there's also the Raid mode which pits you against monsters in a variety of maps. Not something I will play for a very long time but it's there and could keep you preoccupied indefinitely if you're really into it. I'm at level 50 with Claire and will probably stop playing when I've beaten all the stages on normal.

Definitely recommended for Resident Evil fans, but there's also something for newcomers to enjoy, so go buy it!

I'm making this a short review. This game is fun and has awesome gameplay. HOWEVER, the first two chapters of Leon's campaign (the first campaign out of four) are very and don't really let you use your abilities. My advice is to Google or use Youtube to learn all the different moves at your disposal, before heading into the campaigns. You could also play the excellent Mercenaries bonus mode to practice before playing the main game. This also applies to anyone familiar with RE 4 and 5, since this game does NOT obey by the same rules as them.

It took me a while to get into it, but when it clicked it was great. The game also looks beautiful and the B-movie plot is carried by excellently animated and voiced cutscenes. Be aware that the game is quite a different beast when compared to older RE games. If you're willing to play an action-oriented RE game with actually GOOD controls then this is a sure bet. It's also quite long (took me around 20 hours to beat) so you're getting your money's worth.

Great port of a great game! If you're hankering for some insane action and rocking music, buy this immediately. Disapponted in the new DMC? This game will sate your thirst for combos and high risk - high reward gameplay. Highly recommended!
