It pains me to leave a negative review since the game itself is truly awesome, but I can't recommend it for Deck users (or regular PC users tbh) until the awful Uplay launcher is removed. It slows everything down and makes launching the game an exercise in frustration. Also, Ubisoft claims you can launch the game offline but that's not true, it's bugged. Even after launching it online multiple times, and despite having my Ubisoft and Steam accounts properly linked, attempting to launch the game in offline mode causes Uplay to ask me for my login details again, which is absurd since I'm offline. Trying to enter my login details obviously doesn't work. Thid caused me to be unable to play this game which I bought in an airplane.

The game itself is great. One of the best Metroidvania games I've played. I just wish it wasn't tied to the piece of trash that is Uplay.

Now that they fixed the bugs, the expansion is good, though not as good as the first one. Still worth getting and I'm excited about what they come up with for the next expansions.

Dumb DRM added AFTER I purchased the game. Prevents me from playing on my Steam Deck, too. (But I won't be removing the negative review even if you make it work on the Deck. Remove the dumb DRM.)

Clown execs decided to add DRM to an 11 year old game, as if that would magically delete the game from torrent sites. Whoever made this decision is a clown, and I hope this review shows up in an internal meeting so that they can be deservedly clowned on.

Insanely creative platformer, play it if you haven't. Set the .exe to Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode to avoid crashes.
