Made me want to get a camcorder, and go urban exploring. Made me take notes on storytelling. Made me appreciate the rare times when horror games are executed fantastically.

But much more importantly, made me less bored during the pandemic and made me realise I have so many story driven games I haven't touched in a while/barely touched.

Imagine this:

You're in the jungles of Vietnam, you have a M16 rifle at hand. You sprint forward, because you know VC will see you if you stop moving. Your commander requests napalm to be dropped on your objective, which VC has really dug themselves into. The jets roar by, the canisters fall, and the flames engulf the enemy. You hear them scream, cry, falter as they're burnt to a crisp. Your squad leader orders you to move forward, and you do out of instinct. You vault the sandbags and enter the objective. Your teammates join you and you all slowly capture the point.

Then it happens. You see a small shape coming towards you. Before you can register it, a grenade lands near you and you stare in horror. It's too late. The grenade goes off, you are sent flying backwards into the wall, bloody and torn to an unrecognisable mass. As you fade off into the afterlife, you hear something.

In a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Vietnamese accent, a 16 year old edgy kid say the completely original phrase: "Go home, GI! I ♥♥♥♥ you, GI!"

Imagine this, and repeat it about 27 times.

This is the average match of Rising Storm 2: Vietnam on Cu Chi.

And yes, it is bloody worth it.

Hey, you!

Lemme ask ya two honest questions:

1. Are you looking for a nice, relaxing way to kill off some spare hours and watch some characters develop over the course of the entire game? Feel what they feel and learn more about the character you control?

Welp, sorry, this ain't the game for you.

2. Do you want to feel a combination of rage from constantly dying to your own mistakes, the sheer ecstasy of offing the last unfortunate soul after he makes a fatal mistake, and that unnerving feeling you get when staring at a mess of broken bodies that YOU caused? Do you want to experience pure, unforgiving violence backed by a killer soundtrack?

Well gosh diddly-darn you found the right game!

Now buy the game and cause some bloody chaos you sick, twisted soul...

(Obligatory "Do you like hurting other people?" quote because haha cool...)

Cons: Literally every complaint about this game and then some.
