I’ve spent a whopping 36 hours in the *Galactic Contention Star Wars Mod*, and let me tell you, it’s *phenomenal*. The base game? Yeah, it’s great. But the Star Wars mod? That’s the stuff of legends. Here’s how my experience went down:

So, there I am, ready for action, when the pilot of our LAAT Gunship gives me the old "Hop in, soldier, we're going HOT DROP." As if the adrenaline wasn’t high enough, he’s blasting *One Last Breath* by Creed. The music is blaring, and we're dodging lasers on our way into Geonosis. As we’re plummeting toward the surface, I can literally feel the intensity of the moment *and* the power ballad (they’re inseparable). The clones—aka my fellow players—are screaming in sheer terror. It’s chaos. It's beautiful.

Then, the unthinkable happens: the LAAT gets shot down, and I’m the only survivor. I wake up, all groggy and confused from the crash, only to immediately get blown to bits by a wrist rocket. Classic. As if that wasn't enough of a punch to the face, a MagnaGuard Droid appears out of nowhere, starts teabagging me like it’s the most natural thing in the galaxy, and I’m just left there in a puddle of shame.

10/10, would recommend. It’s not just like the simulations. *FOR THE REPUBLIC!*

Capcom has set the gold standard for remakes with their latest reimagining of the legendary *Dead Rising*. This beloved classic, originally released in 2006, has received a fresh coat of paint and a slew of new gameplay features that make it a must-play for both veterans and newcomers alike.

One of the most exciting aspects of this remaster is the opportunity to experience the stunning visuals powered by the RE Engine in the new version. The thrill of wielding that iconic Rocket Launcher feels even more satisfying this time around, bringing a sense of realism that enhances the overall experience.

However, it's essential to clarify that this is a remaster, not a full remake. While the game has its fair share of technical hiccups—bugs that can occasionally detract from the fun—the core gameplay remains as exhilarating as it was in 2006. For those willing to overlook these issues, *Dead Rising* retains its charm and intensity.

One of the standout improvements is the new control scheme. Players can opt for the classic controls reminiscent of the original or take advantage of the updated layout inspired by *Resident Evil*, which makes for a smoother and more intuitive gaming experience. This thoughtful addition opens the door for new players to jump in without feeling overwhelmed.

Yet, not all changes hit the mark. The game suffers from a lack of ambience and sound effects at times, leaving certain areas feeling a bit empty and soulless. However, the most significant upgrades lie in the AI improvements. Gone are the days of frustratingly incompetent characters; the new and improved AI enhances the overall experience, making objectives feel less tedious and more engaging. Otis, in particular, is less of a nuisance, allowing players to enjoy the game’s flow without unnecessary interruptions.

While some old dialogue and character interactions have been altered, the remaster successfully strikes a balance between nostalgia and modernization. It’s a thrilling time to be a *Dead Rising* fan, as this version breathes new life into the classic formula while honoring what made the original special.

In summary, *Dead Rising Remaster* is a fantastic homage to its predecessor, and I highly recommend it for both long-time fans and those new to the franchise. Despite its bugs and occasional sound issues, the fun factor remains high, and it's clear that Capcom has put considerable effort into enhancing this iconic title. Whether you’re reliving the past or discovering it for the first time, this game promises a wild ride through the zombie apocalypse. Don’t miss out!

Here are some of the things I did in the hour I spent playing the demo for Succubus.

Tore a baby out of a woman and drank its blood.
Punched off a man's jaw, ripped off his ♥♥♥♥, then stomped on it.
Watched a man feed his own excrement to a big-headed, demonic child.
Kicked "martyrs" into spikes.
Took a bath in blood using hell bugs as sponges.

Very nice Agony spin off.

Daymare: 1998 is an interesting homage to the Resident Evil franchise, complete with 90s graphics, cheesy characters, and a tough difficulty. Inventory management forces you to think carefully, while boss fights can be tedious and unfair.

There's Poop in my Soup is just silly and will surely give you at least 10 minutes of poo filled entertainment. It looks and plays more like a mobile game, but that's not saying it's a piece of crap. For anyone looking for a ridiculous game that is loads of fun, I wholeheartedly recommend There's Poop in my Soup.

**Review: Halo: Combat Evolved – A Legendary Return to PC**

Halo: Combat Evolved has returned to the PC, bringing with it a wave of nostalgia and modern enhancements. Unlike its original 2003 release, this new version boasts the enhanced campaign graphics from the 2011 Xbox Anniversary remake, along with multiplayer matchmaking and additional perks from the Master Chief Collection (MCC). The game is also now available on Steam, thanks to developer 343 Industries, who surprised fans with a sudden launch after only a few hints that Combat Evolved might be coming soon. This marks the second game in the MCC to hit PC, following Halo: Reach's arrival in December.

On Steam, you can purchase the entire Master Chief Collection for $40, or opt to buy individual games for $10 each. This edition of Halo: Combat Evolved offers modern features like an unlocked framerate, field of view (FOV) options, and support for high resolutions, including 4K. The original PC version still maintains an active player base today, thanks to a robust modding and map-making community that 343 has recognized as a "community tradition."

While the MCC version of Combat Evolved doesn’t include a server browser or mod tools like the old PC version, it doesn’t block modders either. The game files remain based on the original PC version, which should make it easier for legacy maps and mods to transition over. With modders already making exciting additions to Reach, there’s hope that Combat Evolved’s rich history of mods and maps will continue to thrive.

**Final Verdict:** If you're looking to relive your childhood memories or embark on one of the greatest nostalgic journeys of your life, this is the game for you. Halo: Combat Evolved on PC is a perfect blend of the past and present, offering both a trip down memory lane and the chance to create new memories in one of gaming’s most iconic worlds.
