TLDR: Worth the price if the genre of creature collection appeases you, waiting for a sale is fine if you are backlogged on games.
Amazing game, with good story, characters, and creatures!
(100% Achievements requires no DLC, but a bit of grinding+RNG late game.)

**Early View:**
I can def say, this game hooked me in. It wasn't too easy that it was boring, but easily understood, and it wasn't too hard that I needed to consistently look up stuff, or take brain breaks. My first sessions easily felt 4-6 hours each, and currently have about 28 as of writing this.

So far, all of the characters I've met, have been pleasant and I have no issues, though I am not a very picky person. Many characters have their own stories, and some have quest lines you go on with them, to further see!

Currently, I have 82/123 achievements and I believe I am nearly done with the main story, though part of it feels like a post-game set of tasks, if comparing to a PKMN game. I haven't felt like I truly needed to do pointless grinds yet for the achievements, and most of them I have gotten just playing through the game and just interacting with the NPCs and doing all the quests!

**Completed Game Views:**
At 38hrs, I completed the main story, with post-game still to complete. Honestly, I'm still greatly enjoying this game, and really aiming to see all it has to show us! Music is amazing, especially some of the cozy songs, and I'm working on seeing all of the companion's story/dialogue, and completing the base part of the Bestiary/"Dex".

I'll let you know when I've fully gotten all of the achievements, though currently 99/123 as I write this (was at about 90 when story was completed.)

**100% Achievement Views:**
Welp, after 67 total hours, I have achieved all 123 Achievements the game has currently! Many of them were grinds, with some RNG involved that could be manipulated a bit, a little "save scumming" to avoid another 20 or so hours of grinding and RNG ON TOP of what we had, and you actually DON'T need any of the DLC to reach this!

Notes that the "Obtain additonal data on every species" achievement, only needs 120 of the 128 or so creatures the "Dex" told me about, so that was nice.

While I haven't fully caught every single creatures and maxed everything, including DLC beasts, I'm happy with how far I've gotten, and the hours I've put in.

**Overall so far!**
Awesome characters, INSANELY good music, lots of time can be put into the game, and worth the price. If you are still iffy on the 20$ price, then DEFINITELY pick it up when you see a sale. I have *not* yet purchased or played any of the DLC (I didn't realize it had any till over 30 hours in), so that can be judged separately, but will most likely be worth it. After putting in almost 69 hours, I can say I would recommend this to any Creature Collector.

tldr: Fairy Tail fans can enjoy this simple JRPG if you find it for under 25$ (I wouldn't pay the full costs for anything, aside from maybe ONE costume for your ultimate waifu/husbando), no DLC needed (but DD is nice), and it's mostly bonus fan service costumes.

The Story does not start from the beginning of the Anime/Manga, rather around the point of a time-skip (Tenrou Island), and goes to Tartaros. That said, if you've seen the show in it's entirety, it sometimes feels like an abridged version of a select amount of the full story, but YOU get to punch those that harm your friends and family, with Natsu, Lucy, or even Ichiya!

It does have points where it doesn't show models for many characters that don't NEED one, seeming like it's cutting corners or just not wasting resources, though voice lines exist. But of the playable characters, and some more useful or more often seen ones, they look FANTASTIC. Most generic enemies use the same handful of models, often recolored.

This game made me want to play more JRPG style games, so if you are a veteran to JRPGs, but don't know Fairy Tail, you may find this mediocre. I found it to be a good gateway and introduction, as the closest to any other JRPG I've played is the mainline Pokémon games.

I got 100% achievements in the 62.7 hours I played, and it CAN be done faster, or enjoyed much slower. DLC is not needed for 100%, and are mostly just alternative costumes, on top of the 2-4+ the characters have in the base game. 4 Characters can also be obtained via DLC, being Lyon, Levy, Lisanna, and Elfman, and none are required for the Super Strong late game, so you aren't missing out unless one of them happens to be your favorite character.

Great game to roam around in be it in car, on bike, or on foot, make all the kinds of "builds" you want, and tons of areas and targets to test it on, endings are all great, even if they are depressing most of the time, and one of the first games big games in awhile, I sent to 100% steam'chieves on. Bugs were very rarely seen in my playthrough, and I believe they were all fixed by saving+restarting the game. 100% save file was ALSO started after the free big update, around the DLC's release.

166.2hrs on steam total played, but the 100% save file was about 90ish hours. All fun, and totally worth it.

Lots of fishies, great idle/brb screen game, achievements DO take a while, so if you are looking for a quick 100%, note that some will take a LOT of RNG and grinding, if you go for them legit.
