Really really great RPG maker game. I love the entire vibe of the work. Music is really good as well. Art is fantastic as well.

Not really all that much like King's Field game play wise, BUT it is very much enjoyable to see all the locations and enemies. Everywhere feels very diverse and interesting and I love the OST. Story is fine with a played out thought for the driving narrative. Game play seems to be kind of an afterthought if it's meant to be like King's Field because King's Field doesn't have mouse look or a speed stat, so every fight is moving in to land a blow and moving away before the enemy retaliates. You can't strafe around enemies because they seem to pretty much have an infinite turn rate to match you position. Not to say this is all a bad thing, I had a fun time with the combat, it wasn't much of a hassle really at all. I don't think I ever died once legitimately outside of me trying to kill myself. Which is fine, but I would have liked for the combat to have more of a consequence most of the time. Nothing to note about spells regarding combat, either you matched the enemies weakness and used an offensive spell or you used one of the few utility or summon familiar spells. 2 MAJOR complaints are that 90 percent of the secrets are hidden walls, so you will end up wall humping a lot if you care about secrets. The other major complaint is that the game has systems tied to the real world lunar cycle, which sounds cool in concept but is executed poorly when certain things are locked behind there being a full moon in real life. If there were a way to force a certain moon phase through the game play itself then this wouldn't be an issue, but there isn't. I had to mod my game to be in a specific moon cycle constantly to experience all the content. Overall great atmosphere, great soundtrack, passable combat, questionable design choices. 22 hours to fully complete the game.

Everything about this game is just... mid. The music is very mediocre, I wouldn't even imagine listening to a single track outside of the game. Guns feel really weak, besides the shotguns. As well as no alt fires which is a big mistake in my mind. The boomer shooter genre has been filled in the past few years and this game just missed the train. It really doesn't do anything special at all. And for whatever reason, there are multiple in-level save points. Why? What does that accomplish? It lets you not have to restart a map if you fall into the INSTANT death pits for whatever reason, but the maps aren't exactly long. And why play on the hardest difficulty if you can just save scum? Though to be fair most boomer shooters let you quick save/load so what's the point of having static save spots AND auto saves?? I'd take the money and go buy Dusk or Amid Evil.

As good as Doom Eternal, arena shooter equivalent of ultrakill.

Game could be good, but as it is now you will be purchasing an early access game labeled as a full release. The game is plagued with crashes that will stall your ability to progress immensely since, of course, xp and currency is only gained after the end of the mission. Major lack of content in classes, going from vermintide 2's 15 character class combos AT LAUNCH to 4. Buy in a year on sale when the game is content complete.

Surprisingly actually really good. If you like boomer shooters but don't care about Postal it's still worth playing. Level design is really good generally. Nothing else to say really, have to play it to see the outdated references and Postal humor.

This game has... something going for it. It has weapon alt fires. That's about the only positive. The sound design is all over the place, with really only 2 enemies able to be distinguished from a sound cue alone that they just spawned into the room with you.
The guns are mostly okay, though the melee hit detection is pretty janky which makes it annoying to use, which sucks cause it's alt fire is pretty useful. Pistol is the bread and butter but it's alt fire is garbage. 1 Shot to the head kills most humanoids. Shotgun is pretty weak, the spread is huge and even adsing doesnt help nor does shooting 1 barrel at a time. Either the shotgun kills 8 dogs or none. The rifle is pretty useless, doing about a little bit more damage than a shotgun blast? Unsure, as it has no scope but increased zoom but doesn't really matter since the pistol is a sniper anyway. Chaingun is just the chaingun, does the most damage and the game gives you ammo like candy since it's usually the last gun you get for the map.
Visuals wise its... okay? The art style is fine by itself but when you pair it with the lighting and the level design it just doesn't work. The lighting is pretty simple too, if its pitch black you're probably not supposed to go that way. Or maybe there's a hidden heart. If it's lit up, you're going the right way. All enemies have lights on them to help you see them against the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ void that is a majority of the game levels.
Level design? Needs a couple pass overs. Way to many holes in the geometry that makes you think you can go forward for a secret, knowing its pitch black, yet still hoping maybe they didn't just leave all these 2 foot square boxes behind doors. But they did. Or narrow corridors. Try to do any ledge surfing and you're gonna get gibbed as an anti stuck feature. Cause its easy to get stuck on stuff.
Also the animations and enemy designs are really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bland/bad. The regular enemies with swords or guns just contort like the exorcist to point at you. Or they stop moving altogether. Or they spawn in the wall with just their gun sticking out and shooting you. Shoot every enemy in the head/eye/weakspot and you win. Pistol only would be extremely easy, and this is on the hardest difficulty. Which, by the way, does not increase enemy health or damage, just the amounts of enemies and spawning later enemies earlier. Badly designed game all around. The trailers gave me a boomer shooter vibe like Blood but its really not and it almost punishes you for trying to play it like that. You can kind of bhop around most of the melee enemies and zoom through too since as i said enemy damage doesnt seem to scale.
Overall game needs a lot more polish/ maybe better trailers to show the game is perhaps meant to be played slower/more methodically considering the speed at which you shoot your guns and swap through the small amount of weapons is very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow.
