One of the games of all time

A simple game with tons of stuff to do, places to go, deathsquitos to get insta'd by, sea serpents to panic over.
Play with friends to watch them suffer and carry your ore for you have more fun together.

A fun casual game that will last about 20 hours with the DLC, worth it!

It was really, REALLY hard for me to get into this game at first. I've never played previous Monster Hunter titles and went into this blind, so all the odd and unexpected game mechanics like trapping, canteen boosts, bounties, inventory management and even the weapon upgrade paths didn't make any sense to me at first.

I started playing this game using cb (because i didn't do any research beforehand and didn't know that it is the freaking hardest weapon type to master) and that really killed the initial interest for me. Thankfully, I had friends who play this game and they told me to try out db instead, knowing how aggressive I play. That really reignited the spark and I've played quite a....few hours since. This tells me that interest in this game can be easily regained by just playing around with all the weapon types or learning a new one, and that has definitely remained true for me.

Besides that, with all the constant updates and events, especially into Iceborne, I believe that this game has easily been worth its cost. The developers really care about their product, and it shows. I can safely say that I would unhesitatingly buy a future MH title should it be released on PC, but alas.

The game is pretty well-known for being pretty self-explanatory. Who hasn't heard of CS? You shoot the enemies, rescue hostages, defuse c4. With this iteration everybody knows it's a hacker/cheater's haven as long as they don't get caught. But with the game being free and all now, it's only going to allow them much easier access to the pool of players who play legitimately and actually want to have fun/feel accomplished. Also i wrote this review just to do the steam badge achievement :/
