Hi guys ShadyDemoness here,

For those that wonder about it (because I'm a male): My username is a reference to my very first Dungeons & Dragons character. A female tiefling monk.

I generally enjoy story heavy games and a few strategy games like Stellaris. Though I often shy away from open world story games, I find myself enjoying a few of them. The only exception to the things above is Monster Hunter and its many iterations. As a 10 year old child, in 2010, I picked up my first MH game, Monster Hunter freedom unite. Since then I bought every new MH game. One of the reasons for that is that these games helped me through tough times. Being mobbed at school I found myself in a heavy depression during that time, closely bordering on suicide in 2013. MH was my stress relief and escape during that time, additionally to the many fantasy books I began to read.

Thank you for reading this, even if you just skimmed it. I got a group of friends now and couldn't be happier. At the end of 2019 I even came out as gay, so there's that.

I cannot describe how much fun I have with Stellaris. I always loved strategy games, but Stellaris was the first game I played from Paradox. I bought it quite late as I wasn't sure at first. I downloaded a crack/hacked version of it at first to test the game and look if i like it.

In the End all it took was one campaign of crusading penguins and I was hooked. So I bought it from Steam with all the dlcs at that time. And ever since Paradox has never disappointed me with patches and dlcs, always bringing new content to the game. In fact, as the megacorp dlc came out, I got the chance to replay my crusading penguins now as a real mega church with psi powers. I still play it with friends today.

Multiplayer is one of the best I have seen for strategy games. If the host has the dlcs/expansions the other players can enjoy the content that they bring without owning them themselves. They obviouisly cant play as megacorp or other races, but they can play content that happens ingame, like building a world cracker (deathstar) or other cool projects and the like. The only limit for them is the race creation were you have no access to the hosts content.

All in all a game like nothing else, Stellaris makes me lose hours of my life without noticing it, and i like it.
