I’m not usually a big fan of the AC series, but Shadows has totally won me over. The graphics are amazing - one of the best-looking games out there right now. And the game runs super smoothly, which is a huge plus.

I love the idea of all the different factions you’re trying to take down and making a difference in people’s lives. And the hideout is so cool - you get to design it yourself! I haven’t done much to it yet because I’m waiting to unlock some more decorations (small, medium, and large rooms). But it’s so much fun to create something that’s totally yours.

The dodging has been a bit tricky for me, though. I’m either really bad at it or it’s just not working for me. Sometimes it’s delayed, and it doesn’t want to work even when I’m locked on to an enemy. And if I do manage to dodge, it jumps me back into them right away. It makes certain fights really hard, but it’s still doable if you use your abilities or just go for the assassinations!

I like the idea of doing different activities for points to make your abilities stronger overall versus levels as leveling in Shadows feels slightly quick and would make it where you become overpowered rather quickly. With having to go out of your way to do these activities it feels more rewarding since you are upgrading something with them.

Overall; I do enjoy this game and have been spending way too many hours in a day on it!

UPDATE:

Would like to see sped up times when zois are both at activities (work, school) like when sleeping otherwise you're sitting there for quite awhile.
Hunger drops way too quickly compared to how fast you gain sleep.

Love love being able to edit the city to how I want it to be during the season (which was a paid dlc for sims) or just how my mood is kind of at the time.




Long time sims player here (EA app), so I had to give this a go. I haven't been disappointed, with it being early access there's some minor bugs but I haven't ran into any game breaking bugs, I've found everything almost always has a fix or a simple restart is a solution.

Buildings don't feel bare boned when you move into them, not paying for things that should be included laundry, cleaning products is a huge plus. Weddings actually work as intended, Canvas is a bit harder to navigate in comparison as it isn't dumbed done BUT this isn't and shouldn't be seen as an issue as you can easily get used to it.

I have ran into an issue where zois will want to sometimes want to walk off mid conversation if I'm not quick enough on actions (not game breaking in my eyes), but I do hope to see it worked on regardless. I like that cheating has real consequences and isn't just a super easy fix like in sims.

Overall for being in early access this is running smoothly, no game breaking bugs that I've personally ran into again. I can't stress that enough.

Not paying $1,200+ for DLC is the real winner here.

Fun game overall. It does get hectic as you keep going and progress with moving things, stocking and checking people out. I know everything can be automated but I find some joy in helping do it myself.. reminds me of work.
I fully recommend this game as a time killer or something to just get your mind off of things for a couple of hours!

Only complaints are
- Stockers getting bugged stocking certain items
- Cashiers not being able to keep up
- Stockers getting stuck not doing anything at all
