Best DnD game I've ever played. Allows me to play DnD but with the flexibility of my own schedule, and I don't need to worry about figuring out what to say when I roll for Charisma related checks, but rather choose a dialogue option. The game is so well done, it feels so much like a DnD campaign, and the story has me hooked. Highly recommend. Wish it worked a bit better on my RTX 2080. I guess it's time to upgrade my hardware.

Best Harry Potter game yet, though the bar was pretty low before. Very fun game to play if you're willing to put up with the downsides.

Pros: Good adaptation of the wizarding world, fun game mechanics, lots to do, fun story line thus far, lots of karma related choices to make, lots of customization, beautiful scenery and architecture, spellcasting and combat is a blast, and has good music.

Cons: Characters are meh - they're not terrible or anything, but I find myself having a hard time really believing that they're a part of the world which takes away from the immersion. I also don't find myself relating to any, nor cheering any of them on. The models of the faces are not the greatest either - not terrible, but not amazing.

There's also a bit of glitchiness that I've been experiencing personally. When going into open areas, I get black geometric shapes flashing at random. Doors going from large area to large area, or going into shops while in Hogsmeade, will have a loading bar for me which sucks the immersion out of it. Luckily it doesn't take too long to load, except this last time from when I played today where it took double to triple the amount of time it normally takes and then ended up falling through the floor at Hogwarts which broke the game. Ended up having to Alt+F4 out of the game.

Last but not least, if you're a completionist and you find yourself casting Revelio constantly so that you can find every page, do yourself a favor and go through the story until you can get upgrades for your spells and increase the area of your Revelio. You're welcome.

Early Access Review
Never played much of the auto battler genre, but this is a lot of fun! Still have lots to learn and the strategic decisions get pretty deep. Music, artwork, and animations are all fun, but the strategy is what hooks me. Highly recommend!

An excellent cooperative game filled with so much charm and child-like fun despite covering the much less charming topic of divorce and the fears that brings to their child. Playing this with my wife who doesn't play very many games and we are loving it.

There's just enough room for exploring with some fun little deaths and dead ends of levels that don't have anything, but I was happy to be able to explore over there anyways. There are some fun details that are very easy to miss, like: a creature that pops out of a can but hides inside when you get too close, or when you ground pound the turpentine it squirts more out onto the paper, or the polaroid camera with sets where the two of you can pose and then put up the pictures. There are also minigames that are tucked away on the side that pits the two of you against each other - totally optional, but also a lot of fun.

Cons:
Don't get too creative with the exploring - some areas are reachable, but an invisible wall will kill you anyways.
Not much in terms of collectibles (which to me is more of a pro - collectibles are more of a chore used as an excuse to get you to have fun exploring which I'm doing anyway).
Sometimes cutscenes stutter. I'm running a RTX 2080 and an i7-9750 2.6Ghz so not entirely sure why it would be stuttering, even when a few of the settings aren't at their highest. I suppose I'll look into Overclocking, but I'm surprised this is the game where I'm finally overclocking my CPU to play it at max settings.

Overall, highly recommend as a casual game that offers excellent level design, charming characters with good character development, and fun, slightly challenging puzzles.

An RPG deck-builder roguelike, this game is a unique experience. It's gameplay is interesting in the sense that you assist the main character in balancing the build of the looping road that appears before them. You make it more difficult for them, but you have control over how difficult the game will be. The goal of each expedition is predetermined by what you wish to achieve from that expedition but it boils down to either mine for specific resources or to proceed further and further into the expedition. Some advice from a newbie player to other newbies:

1. Blindly keep going on expeditions and learn how the cards affect the road (don't do this too much, just for a few expeditions in the beginning). Once you get a grasp on that, you'll probably come across combinations of effects that turn into new effects, like a vampire mansion in front of a village spawns ghouls.

2. After a few expeditions, check out the camp and see what resources you need in order to create new buildings and areas. The affects of these buildings have a massive impact on the expeditions and you won't get far into the game without delving into these.

3. The default character benefits greatly from high HP and counter attacks. Other classes benefit off of other kinds of stats instead. Balance your stats accordingly as you loop and don't just blindly upgrade your inventory based on the level of items you come across.

4. After you kill the liche for the first time (or even first few times), retreat back to camp. You'll be able to upgrade a lot and you'll likely die within the first loop after killing him. It's tempting to keep going, but don't.

Unique physics based gameplay with interesting mechanics, fun EDM music, and a great competitive scene. Unfortunately you can't get it on Steam anymore and you have to get it through Epic's store, but if you don't mind dealing with Epic then I suggest you get this game and get yourself out of Bronze, then out of Silver, then out of Gold, so on and so forth. You'll receive toxicity along the way, but just know that they're only doing that to make you upset so that it gets in the way of you winning. "What a Save! What a Save! What a Save! Holy cow! Wow! What a Save!"

I enjoyed this game, though it's hard for me to recommend it. Ultimately, I think in comparison to the first one, this one isn't as polished in a lot of areas and contains some flaws both in design and execution of the game as well as the story and dialogue. My wife and I got 100% completion in under 5 hours of playing and we were going very slowly. THE REST OF THIS COMMENT CONTAINS SPOILERS.

1. The graphics has some obvious flaws that are easily fixable, like seeing the white borders in between tiled sprites on the floors and walls.

2. There are some non-game-breaking glitches that happen here and there. There was one dialog where the audio started a solid 2 seconds before the speech bubble appeared to accompany the audio. In EX Chapter, I started with the ability to throw something for some reason even though I had nothing in my inventory. I started charging my throw, but tried cancelling by going into my inventory. The circle on the floor indicating where I'm to throw a can to stayed on the floor with no way of getting rid of it that I found. It was even there on future playthroughs.

3. Sometimes the game slows down when there are a few enemies chasing you.

4. The EX Chapter in general was just meh. There were times when it was trying too hard to shock you, like when hiding in the locker in EX Chapter and the bodyguards find a dead baby wrapped up in a towel inside. This is unrelated to the entire incident happening in the story and the dialogue was just weird throughout this whole bit. There's no reason the key to the 2nd floor fire escape is located where it's located in this chapter. The main ending leaves you at a weird cliffhanger.

5. Though this is just one chapter, there's enough content to justify spending $10 to contribute to the project more if you like it. I don't regret the money I spent on this, though I can see a lot of others being disappointed with it.

6. A lot of moments in this game remind me of the Metal Gear Solid series: hiding in lockers, throwing cans to distract guards and zombies instead of magazines, the look of the place reminds me of it too though I can't specify where in the MGS series this comes to mind, and the guards sort of remind me of how some guards look in MGS2.

7. I feel that there is some unnecessary perversion in this, from the banner on Steam's game page, the moment where the girls are talking about looking up the journalist's skirt, and the comment the guy makes in the end about her being "a cute one" and starts to act a little rapey.

8. How did she not notice that her heart was removed this whole time?! She wasn't bleeding from the chest at all? Just weird.

Though my wife and I had a lot of fun playing this game, I can't in good conscience recommend this game to just anyone. The game is fun and mostly on the casual side. We had to do more tweaking than we expected to do, but it was fun nonetheless.

Pros:
- The noir theme is well done
- The story is good
- The abilities are well done
- Playing as a cat is awesome
- The encounters with the demons are fun, though I may be biased because I enjoy stealth gameplay
- The collectables are fun
- Level design is good most of the time

Cons:
- Though playing as a cat is fun, I wish it wasn't always so linear. I feel that the gameplay with the cat could have been expanded a lot more
- In order to use my PS4 controller, I had to right click on the game in my Steam library and click Properties, then override for controller use. After this, though the PC version of this game supports my PS4 controller, all of the graphics and button prompts were as if it was a 360 controller. These graphics and button prompts need to be updated to support different kinds of controllers. This was an annoying thing I had to deal with for the entire game.
- In order to achieve 60 fps, I had to edit .ini files in ~\Murdered Soul Suspect\FateGame\Config. This should be how it is by default at least.
- There were some odd graphic glitches here and there, like static-y looking boxes appearing when achievements are completed
- Sometimes the X button prompt to interact with a person or inspect an object doesn't appear when you expect it to, creating awkward camera work in order to obtain a clue or progress the story.
- Sometimes when finding a clue, the camera will be behind a pole or something and the floating text explaining the clue is partially hidden. You're forced to look at this for 1-2 seconds before you can move around and see what the text says and then determine how that relates to the clue.
- Sometimes when you decide to backtrack, you may encounter the same cutscene you see on a previous time you enter this area, but it's clear that you're not supposed to be seeing this cutscene again. This glitch is a little confusing sometimes.
- Graphics aren't amazing, but they're not terrible.

Despite the cons, the game is still fun!

Unbelievably good. I was barely able to beat it, it's a very difficult game. They knocked the art style out of the park, it's insanely well done. The gameplay is difficult, but rewarding. It makes you want to keep fighting that boss that's giving you a hard time. For me it was that damn junkyard robot. I probably spent most of my time just fighting that boss honestly. I didn't go for S ratings on all bosses, though I did get a good amount. I went for Pacifist ratings on the platforming levels.

Id Software announced that they will be removing Denuvo Anti-Cheat and, if in the future they enforce a similar anti-cheat software, that it doesn't affect single player campaign players like myself. I'll change my review to a recommend once Denuvo Anti-Cheat is removed. See here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Doom/comments/gnjlo7/latest_information_on_update_1_anticheat/

With that said, this game is fantastic. DOOM from 2016 was incredible and this is a worthy sequel. Art style and music flows well from one game to the next and is excellent in both. The gameplay is so much fun. The creatures are classic and prove a challenge to defeat. I haven't played the online mode yet since I'd like to finish single player first, but from what I've seen streamed to Twitch it appears to be awesome.

EDIT: The update to remove Denuvo Anti-Cheat has arrived. I've changed my review to a positive recommendation!
