Look, Borderlands 3 is not a perfect game. That much is true. But I can tell you that the pros do outweigh the cons.

The story isn't nearly the best, but you find it oddly growing on you as you continue to play. Whether or not that's like a cancer growth or a wholesome growth is yet to be determined. But it does grow.

This is also hands down the buggiest Borderlands game. While none of the games have been stellar in terms of this, BL3 shows it in the more frustrating sides of things. Skills don't work, NPC's just stop working, you can fall through the map so forth. Whereas previous games were more silly bugs or bugs that didn't stunt the game (I'm looking at you buck up Gaige). But, bugs are fixable, and Gearbox has shown nothing if not a great commitment to fixing these things as they go on.

BUT, you're out of your mind if you think this isn't the most fun Borderlands game in terms of gameplay. Cause it is. And we all know that. Does that excuse the issues? No, but it is what keeps people coming back. The guns are crisp, the skill trees are varied and fun. The mechanics are solid. And it begins to resemble a true and good Borderlands game with each passing minute. And that's where the game truly shines.

Borderlands 3 is not a perfect game. But it is worth the buy.
Just stop trying to sell gear online yea? I'm tired of seeing a Shopping tab pop up when I google guns.

Playing DBD is like being in an abusive relationship. There are genuinely good times. You can remember them. They were great fun. But as time continues to tick on, you realize how unhappy playing this game makes not only you, but everyone else around you. It's some sort of weird purgatory where people knowingly hate the game, yet still play it. As if they can't shake DBD out of their system or something. These are people firmly in the loop that DBD provides. It gives you just enough to keep you in, but you're firmly aware of how much you hate it the entire time. Will that stop you? Probably not. Welcome to the abuse.

Reconsider your time before playing this, I promise you there's better expenditures of your time

Hooboy. Alright.

So I've been looking forward to this game for some time now. Really enjoyed New Order and was alright with Old Blood's existance. My thoughts for a sequel would of course be America but moreover that crisp Wolfenstein nazi-shooting and a fair enough story to continue the fictional world of a Nazi victory.

What I got, was rather disappointing.

Story
Storywise this game is a continuation of an alarming trend I saw in New Order. New Order felt rushed towards the latter half of the game, as if Machinegames realized they have to end the game at some point.

New Colossus, somehow manages to expand on this. The game storywise, gameplay-wise, and graphically is alarmingly half-assed. The story is cheesy and bloody, the only real high point it has. But it's bogged down by hasty pace, bizzare plot points, and a character I think we can all agree is easily the worst in the entire series.

Grace. Grace is the main problem with this game's story. Her bitchiness only brings one good thing in the entire game, that being Sigrun finally telling her where to stick it. Otherwise, she's overbearingly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to everyone, she has a baby that is clearly thrown in to try and give her a maturnal feel (which fails horribly), and her dialogue is cringy at best. I found myself pyschically recoiling anytime she came on screen (Except the ending, but I was so over her by that point I'm not sure that counts). It doesn't help that she essentially is made to replace Caroline, of which she just doesn't whatsoever.

Caroline was truely a badass leader. Grace is just a sad attempt to fix a gaping hole in the cast.

Gameplay
The gameplay in this game is mostly the same, guns feel the same, albeit with some new rather uninteresting additions (The railgun is kinda cool but wholey impratical). I do quite like the upgrades system if I'm honest. Much more streamlined and easy to use. My biggest issue with this game however, is the level design.

Is it just me, or did it feel like we were just moving from one arena to another? Not to mention there's pratically nothing in terms of a proper boss fight to care about. Even though I felt Old Blood was a bit dumb to be it's own game, it had some great fights and my favorite boss fight out of any of the games. This game just throws Supersoldatens and whatever the hell the giant robot boys are called. There's no personality, no real difficulty, and no inspiration. And that's the true tragedy of this game in my opinion.

Performance
Possibly the biggest clue that this game may very well of been rushed thru development is it's performance. It seems that most everyone on the 10 series of nVIDIA cards (myself included) got shafted with this game. Graphical bugs galore, bizzare skybox glitches (which I believe they fixed so good on ya), and god forbid if you updated to the 388 driver and tried to play.

I damn near refunded the game with the driver fiasco. That's never a good sign.

Overall I'm largely disappointed with this game. Hopefully the DLC's are good cause right now I feel pretty shafted for spending 80 bucks on this.

Damn man. I've never played a Wolfenstein game prior to this, but if this is what I've been missing, I'm all for it man.

There's so many parts to this puzzle that just work, and it's a game I can say I truly enjoyed from start to finish.

The Story is a bit cliche at times, but golden otherwise. It sticks to what it's made for, killing nazi's and being America's hero. But it does it within the bounds of a not so parody existance such as other games has. It's simply to it's core, but presents itself like a really good magician. In the end you understand the basics and simplicity of the product, but it still wows you and keeps you wanting more.

The Gameplay is satisfying to the max Shooting Nazi's is a helluva good time, and with the gameplay mechanics it's even better. While I wish the Lazercraftwerk was a bit more... Idk... Sensible? It still keeps you entertained and it's very smooth to control.

Graphic and Sound design makes you feel like you're really there I'm not someone who really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bout graphics and whatnot, and I know that overall the game could have significantly better looking textures, the game still looks and sounds amazing. Considering everywhere you go it really manages itself and it's settings well.

I bought it for 10 bucks on the steam sale, but I'm not opposed to buying it at the full 20 on steam. Defo check out if you want to just enjoy a good old FPS.

CS:GO Review
It's hard to love CS:GO, but it's hard to hate it too.

The game is hard to explain properly, but let's take a crack at it with Pros 'n Cons

Pros:
- A multitude of good looking maps to play on, as well as different modes to keep you on your toes.
- Challenging recoil systems. It's no doubt that recoil systems are lacking in modern FPS's, but CS:GO has one that takes some work to master, but is well worth doing so.
- An interesting way of getting weapons/grenades. The "Buy Menu" is a twist that CS:GO holds against it's other FPS counterparts. But it's a rather interesting and good one. You win? You get money. You lose? You get money (Although less then you would winning). You use said money to buy new weapons, each varying in price and effectiveness, and it adds a level of strategy that so far, no other FPS has.
- Fairly balanced gameplay. The gameplay in CS:GO is balanced, although definately favors those who are better (Why wouldn't it?). Each of the weapons has quirks and perks that make it what it is. No two weapons are the same (statistically), and they each bring a new way to play into the game.
- Great optimisation. I don't know what it is about CS:GO, but it runs like an African Olympian. Even on my rather puny computer, it runs at steady rates and is playable and enjoyable. It has loads of video settings to help and honestly, needs to be the game others look at for optimization ideas.
- Huge support and growth in the Competetive Esports scene. There's no doubt that MOBA's and the likes are still the rulers of Esports, but CS:GO is the most played FPS Esport out there, and has huge global competions to brandish that title. The game supports these events and even gives players reason to watch and support the Twitch Streamers and Events online.
- Tons of Weapon skins/ Music kits, so on. The cosmetic items in this game make it one of the most monotarily successful in the gaming industry today. The original idea that was taken from CS:GO's older more wacky brother, TF2, made the game what it is today. When people see these skins they instantly fall in love and want them. And that's what makes CS:GO so profitable, and is likely what keeps Valve updating the game to this day.

The Cons:
- Honestly, the only real con is the community. I'm not sure what it is but FPS's seem to invite the most toxic players in most any game genre I've seen. The game is plagued with Smurfs (Those who have high ranks and make new accounts to mess with lower players), Hackers (Folks who cheat to win), and overall rude people. The issue with this is that it makes playing Solo in Matchmaking a gamble, you might get a good team of folks ready to win and have a good time. Or you might get a Smurfing trash talker who's obbessed with Yo Momma jokes and John Cena.

Overall, the game is fantastic, without the community it'd be a 10/10 for me. But sadly this is a multiplayer game, and the community is a huge aspect of it.

Final Score:
Game only: 10/10
Full experience: 6/10

I still support this game and not Overkill.

However, Overkill has done enough damage control to have me back to what matters, enjoying the hella fun game called Payday.

♥♥♥♥ the DLC's, ♥♥♥♥ the microtransaction nightmare, and ♥♥♥♥ Overkill.

But Payday 2 stands as what it is, a great game, run by a ♥♥♥♥ company.
