Nocturne itself has always been a great title that was thought to be forever trapped in the PS2’s library.. The “Remaster” however doesn’t really add all that much to the base game. You’re looking at a glorified overpriced port of a game from 2003 that only really adds voice acting and some DLC, which are soundtracks from the SMT franchise and the option between Dante or Raidou.

The game is locked to 30fps, the music is still the same old compressed PS2 music that didn't even sound good by 2003's standards and the FMVs are also the same old 480p clips from 2003 as well with a blurred border effect.
I can accept that an old game has mechanics tied to the frame rate, but not even bothering to remix the music, which has a lossless sample is insulting. If I didn't know any better, I would forgive the FMVs being reused from the PS2 version. However, I have seen other "remastered" titles that took the effort to render new FMVs and only asked for $25.

As the title stands, I can't recommend it for the asking price.

Only downside is it doesn't fit in my pocket anymore.

They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong.

It's somewhat of a guilty pleasure. On one hand it's just Dragon's Dogma with Guns and iffy AI, but on the other hand the cast tells you about how great Kirito is and how you should strive to be like him.

It has a very good length to cost ratio.
