I'm being vague to avoid spoilers.

This might be the best DLC for any game ever made. All the cast are 100% believable as living characters in the world. Each story mission has polish, creativity and good writing.

It's a shame the DLC's stopped here as there is so much potential left in the Cyberpunk world. The new endings are hugely different, with hours of gameplay in each branching path. You get a lot for your money so well worth the full price.
One of the endings is a gut wrenching stealth sequence on par with the Amnesia games.

I still listen to the soundtrack regularly.

I know the original game was a buggy mess, but this isn't. It elevates the first game into my personal top 10 games of all time, sitting among the likes of Hitman, Zero Dawn, The Last Of Us, Mass Effect 2.

I really can't believe I'm going to write this out but:
If you are a fan of the first game, do not buy this. They have changed everything about the first games city building and made it worse.

Need to clear snow to build something? You have to pick 8 tiles, and then wait for the excavation and it costs a currency called heat stamps you never have enough of. It doesn't matter if you only need to clear one tile, you have to pick 8.
Want to build a resource extractor? 6 tiles.
I don't know what they were thinking.

Every fun aspect of the first game, and your ability build roads, its all worse or gone. I really hope they patch in some better features and make it fun again but I'm not hopeful.

Why are my people freezing to death?? Where is the heat map. How do I make them warmer? What the hell am I supposed to do????

4/5 Which is a rating and also a reference to the game.

The gameplay is good but not as good as War for the Overworld which had tons more minor details. The games are similar but there is no combat in Galacticare, just building and managing resources.

My main gripe is the game lacks polish. You get cutscenes or dialogue describing something happening but you have no idea what they are talking about.
Theres a level growing a giant vegetable but I don't know what theyre talking about as it doesn't tell you where to look. My friend told me it happens in the background of the level.
Theres another level where someones head explodes according to the dialogue but it doesnt show it.

On the management interface it will say areas are undecorated but you cant click it to see where.
You can build rooms, but you have to scroll around to find them in the sea of buildings without a way to click in the interface and cycle through the built rooms.
Some of the doctors will want a raise but you have to scroll through each one to find out which one it is.

I love the plant level, where one of your characters starts hallucinating after drinking a mystery liquid.

If you have played the developers other games you will know what to expect. They are unique, isometric, story rich games driven by exploration.
Their free game "Cayne" got me into their library. Try it out, its free and buy the other games if you like it.

I`ve had the game since launch and luckily, I didn't get a lot of the early bugs.

It's only gotten better and now Phantom Liberty really elevates this to a masterpiece.

I would say to buy it on sale, not full price as the developer really needs to learn from their mistakes on this one. They botched the launch so hard now they didnt have enough to time to make more DLCs.

You will feel the wasted potential after completed the game as there was so much more this game would have been capable of, but now we wont get it.

Watch a youtube play through. Its not worth playing at any price. I bought it on sale and its too late to return it now.

I cant reccomend this game as its just watching an unskippable cutscene after another and if you feel you made a mistake in your choice you cant just load a save.
Repeating massive, entire blocks of unskippable cutscenes is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unbareable. There are QTE that will change the story and you have to repeat chapters if you make a single mistake on them.

If you could skip sections, and had a better save/load system, I would consider it to be a game. As it stands, just watch a youtube playthrough and skip any parts or watch another video to see what effect your choices have.

Parts of the story reminded me very fondly of the fixed camera angle sections of Resident Evil original, and Silent Hill. It could have been so much better, but instead its frustrating, repetitive and boring. Its a real shame.
