I still have not gone to the wedding yet.

It blows my mind that people will glaze over the issues that this game has just because its cool to hate on Overwatch, its literal hysteria.

Issues this game has
- Although it was addressed, the lack of a mouse acceleration setting when its on by default shows there complete lack of experience with competitive shooters.
- Crashing every 3-6 games is just bad
- bad optimization, getting 160 FPS native 2k resolution and 180 DLSS 4 (did a dll swap to upgrade DLSS from 3 to 4) quality at the most minimum quality settings (3080, 5800x3d, 32gb ram) with massive frame drops from certain visual effects from certain characters.
- Hacking/exploits are abysmal. it not common at all but when it happens you have NO chance to win. its like spin botting, noclip, aim hacks etc they are wild.
- Lack of requiring role composition minimums is horrible, you will get games that are over before they start because people refuse to create a proper team comps. could be fixed if they implement at least 1 of each role per team or implementing a 2-2-2 role queue.
- Competitive having ban picks for higher ranked players only is stupid and compromises the games competitive integrity of the game (not a unique issue to this game)

Personal gripes
- I don't like third person in competitive shooters especially in games where the projectile comes from the on screen character and not the crosshair. You create inconsistencies in aim based off crosshair placement and distance from the target. An example of this is with Hawkeye, it feels like hitboxes are larger on the right side of your targets (even when the crosshair is well off the visuals of your target) than the left due to the third person camera position.
- Game is clunky and the flow of the game feels more about spam than intent. i don't think i can fully comprehend why i feel this way but an example of clunky that i can think of is hulks jump being a spacebar charge bar, it just does not feel good. Will make an edit when i can explain the spam and intent better but i think it might be related to damage and healing both being very high and either you are taking no damage or your dead in a second.

I really wish people would stop glazing over the issues this game has, essentially giving a pass for all its issues, just because "Overwatch 2 is garbage". Be critical of both Rivals and Overwatch so they both can be better. "i play rivals because its not overwatch" or "i play rivals cause its better that overwatch" all these statements mean to the devs is that the bar is overwatch, that's certainty a low bar you don't want to set and lets set the bar higher for both games.

This game is a hollow shell with no soul. The story sucks and sounds like it was written by a teen. The menu layout is abhorrent. Spending money is the only full featured thing about this game.
