Cut number 1 contains computer data so please don't play it. But you probably won't listen to me, will you?

Oh boy, How do I dig into this; As a game it's completely functional... but the very same could be said of the cheaper 2013 release.

The corrected controls are nice for Xinput users, but still Dual Analog is a no-show, and the lack of smooth rotation and movement does make the very act of talking to an NPC a bit of a learning curve at best, a chore at worst.

The updated models... they are pretty much the ONLY selling point, and this is back-dropped by 2 pixel radius Guassian blurred pre-rendered backgrounds which shows the cracks within the first 5 minutes of gameplay, in fact, you'll see the lack of effort immediately before you'll actually start playing. The full 3D sections unfortunately have no significant touch-ups in the textures and in worst-case completely broken in certain areas.

I guess I should mention the PSX Music, it's fine... other than the bug in Dollet that plays midi, yet again, showing cracks.

Achievements are... Completionist's basic. a few challenging ones are removed and, honestly, more should have been added given the amount of content this game has, it really would entice a newcomer to get curious and explore.

For 2013 players, you can port saves, this COULD have been a nice selling point but, yet again, shows cracks.

Modding is in the works as of writing the review.

There is absolutely no Widescreen support on any level, after Chrono Trigger, It would have been a safe assumption to see a few updates in some regards.

But I must state that the community should NOT have to fix the game for you, It's important to learn from your modding community and take the general "essentials" and simply integrate them to bolster a step up in quality as well as learning from other ports' issues and creative solutions to keep a standard. Maybe add some options and manual touch-ups to backgrounds.

As I stand, This is a functional game, but as a remaster, I feel like all the effort went into Models and nothing else, there are still missing elements from the original PSX release, It fails as a proper emulation of the original and it really does feel like a beta build of a proper remaster. Since 2013 has more to offer in modding, I can only recommend that version unless Square-Enix can turn this one around like Chrono Trigger.

Plenty of DLC for a game with as much content as SFV, don't waste your time or money on this one.

Best of the Trilogy, also the best sourceport/remaster.

Now stop reading reviews and just buy the game already!

This has to be one of the worst games I've ever played, I'd highly suggest just getting the DOS version and just source-port it.
Controls are terrible, inputs will be dropped, and frames will drop a almost every interaction and pickup.

This game runs so poorly, that you can get 120fps on Doom 2016 on the highest settings... yet can't get a stable 60fps from this "Definitive" Enhanced port of a 20 year old game.

2019 Update; Yeah... It's still garbage. Just fork over the extra $5 for a Megaton Key. Blood just released today and it's a prime example of how this title SHOULD have been handled.

Horrendeous Controls, You can literally turn backwards from the recoil of your joystick, as well as just be locked in place trying to make a corner.

Broken Mechanics, The game tells you blue ghosts follow a trail... which is completely ignored, which is an issue with the next problem.

Faster than Sonic on Cocaine. On the first stage, you get a line of ghosts. As soon as you get that power pellete that one ghost will zip through the entire maze 5-7 times over before you even get a chance to catch him.

Don't buy this, Don't even wishlist this game.
