Highly recommended game. Got good and satisfying weapon feel, pretty good class variety, and the devs are planning on adding more content every few months, at least for now.

Worth the $15 at least -- one of the rare good games that can cater to both Furries and non-Furries (because Furry characters non withstanding, the gunplay feels pretty good. Very close to like, APB reloaded)

Still holds up extremely strongly 20 years later. Not exactly "hard" perse, but does require at least a little thought (and a lot of micromanaging / pretty difficult in optional "hard mode" postgame.) Still no game quite like it, and it did the "instanced mission" thing *way* before a lot more modern MMOs did.

Highly recommended, especially on sale -- but even if you don't get it on sale there's hundreds of hours of content to enjoy!

It's basically just Terraria, but top-down. That brings its own set of problems, certainly, and it's 100% not as polished as Terraria, but for someone like me with hundreds of hours in Terraria it's a good game to get hooked on after so, so much Terraria that it's hard to capture that "new game" feel even with a lot of mods...

As this game gets updates and adds things, I can 100% see myself playing this game on and off for years, as I've done with Terraria. Highly recommended, especially if you can get it on sale.

The base *game* is good, yes -- but the premium currency is priced high for what you get, and priced in a predatory way (One descendant is 300 in game currency, but the $5 USD currency pack gives 250).

Will I still likely play this game at least a bit? Yes. Thankfully the only characters on the roster right now that I like are one starting character and one other so the farm might not affect me as much... and I'm certainly not playing as much as I would have without the BS in the cash shop.

But can I recommend it with the predatory cash shop and grind-heavy gameplay? No, I can not.

Saw a youtube short of someone doing one of the songs (dream about the past) and knew i had to try it. IT has an amazingly chill vibe that can definitely help you fall asleep and is super satisfying and non-stressful for a rhythm game. highly recommended for anyone who likes rhythm games, and even if you're not the biggest fan the vibes are immaculate. Short, certainly, but one of the best 15 dollars i've spent on Steam in recent memory.

2 hours in and I'm already well hooked. Take Persona, Jet Set Radio, and Ratchet & Clank, put them in a blender and add music as a core mechanic and you got this game. The humor reminds me of the slightly sarcastic tone and writing of Ratchet & Clank (plus, you know, the more action-based third person combat) but the visual queues and themes remind me a lot more of Jet Set Radio and Persona, at different points.

The game is made to be hyper-accessible, so even if you're terrible at rhythm games you can still *feel* like you're good at them. I usually end up with around 90% or better accuracy during fights, but a couple times early on when i fumbled it still felt super satisfying to play, and to fight. That's by design as even if you press inputs at the wrong time, the actions still take place on the beat which adds that punchy satisfying feeling you get from doing it on the beat regardless. Add a ton of difficulty options that can turn the difficulty super duper low to where it doesn't *matter* if you're on the beat or not, and this game is a gem out of nowhere. Got it as soon as I saw it show up on Steam, and I'm not disappointed in what I got for the price.

Has issues, but being beta with the devs acknowledging a lot at this point and most of the issues being small things or things that are easy to overlook for a bit, it's like a solid 8/10 for sheer fun and the fact the price isn't overpriced for what it is.

My low playtime on Steam means nothing. I have every class at 80 barring Necromancer and Revenant (My Necro is 63 and Revenant is 40) with 2 thieves and 2 rangers there. I have played GW2 since Beta, and I even have the Rytlock statue and art from the Collector's Edition with the metal tin from the launch of the game back in 2012.

I may not have played GW2 as much as World of Warcraft, but darned if I don't have hundreds of hours in it still. It's free, and even without an expansion there's a ton of fun to be had.

"Free" means "No Risk," so why not try it?

Protip: If you've played in the past add "-provider Portal" to the launch options to use your old account!

incredibly addicting as a dark souls fan looking for something to play in between fromsoft games. it's similar enough to call it "boss rush dark souls, but with crafting". Of course, once you fall in love with World be sure to give Rise a try. It's similar enough to be great fun, but different enough to keep it fresh.

furry roguelike borderlands

i like it enough to have 100%ed it, and i only have like 3-4 games out of 1000+ on my account at 100%.

worth picking up if you like roguelikes or have friends to play some runs with

Update:

Original review was August 2022, so this update is almost exactly 2 years old.
Since then a lot of new achievements and things have been added, and I maintain it's worth the Money. I'm currently working on "endless mode" achievements -- both entering it on reincarnation 9, and beating both final bosses under the time limit on it. There's a lot more actual challenge and variety to the game now than back then, and it lends itself to a lot more replayability. Sttill highly recommended, though I'd say even more than before.
