More like CS 1.6 than GO. Stay away from gambling/cases though.

I prefer the purity of Q3A vq3 or CPMA movement and health for all players. However, Quake Champions is still Quake - infinite skill depth. Not for controller kids or those who believe in participation trophies.

The Squad developers fundamentally changed this game with version 6.0 and the Infantry Combat Overhaul (ICO). The ICO is now only enjoyable for LARPers. If you like to LARP, by all means, purchase Squad. If you enjoy realistic first person shooter games that are fun to play I suggest you look elsewhere like Hell Let Loose.

Furthermore, do not purchase this game to not reward game developers fundamentally changing a game that you have purchased multiple years later without consulting the whole community and not being open to reversion.
