Some of the most beautiful graphics I've seen.

I had high hopes but it's terrible, I'd refund if I could.
The lighting has flickering and shimmering all over the place, making as others rightly said, a disco ball lighting appearance everywhere. Apparently this is due to the UE5 game engine lighting engine "Lumen". It is said that this can be fixed by a paid mod which allows you to then change console values in game, here's an idea - why not test and correct this before release?

The default keyboard is AZERTY causing myself and others to be stuck early game and also having to use "Z" to walk forwards. This can be changed in the options, but it then requires a game restart which it does not mention before it actually works. Why on earth is QWERTY not the default?

There is NO HDR support. Come on, with a game released in 2023!?! Absolute madness.

The walking animation looks really dumb when you walk faster, which you will do lots as the walking is painfully slow - clearly it's just a sped up walking animation added in a previous update. It's very silly looking and a lazy way of doing it.

Performance:
Absolutely terrible performance no matter what settings you pick. 3060 Ti (within 2-3% of the recommended 3070) and 5800X3D + 32GB of RAM, ok not top end GPU at all, but 50fps is like a slideshow to me these days.

Stuttering mess due to there being no shader precompilation - instead the game stutters every time the scene changes, such as lights being turned on, looking around in some areas, doors opening.

I am not alone with all of the above issues. I'm warning others to avoid.

A bit more dev work and this could be passable I'm sure. At the moment it's just crazy to purchase this.

The performance is too broken to be able to recommend, major FPS drops to 5-10fps in certain areas every mission with any form of RT enabled and broken HDR. I'm far beyond the recommended specs. I've spent ages trying to find a fix but I see many others have the same. I'll update if ever fixed.

This happens even at 480p internal resolution using DLSS Ultra Performance with a 3060 Ti and 5800X3D which is beyond even what a dev recommends.

I can run CP2077 with PATH TRACING far better than this game!

Sadly the game is extremely dark indoors without RTGI (ray tracing bounce lighting). Which is further an issue as the gamma setting doesn't work as the HDR implementation is broken. Do research to see.

The developers attitude when people make valid game suggestions is not good at all.

May I remind you of what the early access, the message under the game states: "We’re still actively designing, work-shopping ideas, and listening and responding to what the player community is enjoying" "get involved with this game as it develops"

I made a suggestion to say being able to shoot through plant pots which you can not do in the games current state... to be told "I do not plan to ever change the behavior". IMO a game about messing around with guns should be able shoot through a plant pot etc, standard plinking stuff...

The developer has a real issue with his rude attitude which kind of makes me wish I didn't purchase this game. If I could turn back time I would not buy this game. Take a look at some of the posts and replies etc.

The political bias related to this game dev and community is a real shame. They say they are not politically biased but they clearly are - posts etc are silently deleted by them, whereas others political ones matching their agenda remain, guns, locations etc are not added due to the origin country or other political bias. The funny thing is if you had politics go the way you want it, guns would ironically be banned in the US, ha. Why don't you just keep things neutral?

There are some night maps but don't expect any kind of basic dynamic lighting - the lights sources such as the flashlights etc do not generate any kind of dynamic shadows and in fact go straight through all walls and objects. I don't recall any 3D game with lighting this bad in memory.

Great stuff, interesting visuals and funny game play.

Unfortunately there is no native HDR but it can be added in other ways such as via Nvidia RTX HDR.

Amazing visuals that still look wonderful in 2024. Absolutely amazing with HDR and OLED! Good fun gameplay.
