Beta feedback from vermintide player

I played Psyker to 30 (A pyro, living bomb sienna but 80% pyro)
Veteran to 23 a (which hunter, way watcher hybrid)
A tiny amount of Ogryn (Footknight) (without the charge to save a teammate reset Talent ;-;
0 of zealot which is a tweaked zealot but I looked at the talent tree and that is just cracked (ie a lot of good mid-mixing possible)
Was (beta) a fun game to play with friends

Pro's:
Emp'rah ( I cba to go into detail but graphics, gameplay feel, ost, enjoyability, very high)
The outside map was VERY NICE, MORE OF THAT PLEASE

If you liked vermintide or left4dead, genuinely enjoyable as well as challenging and the overall experience is fun.

DEDICATED SERVERS WITH HOSTMIGRATION... WITHOUT MAP RESET

Neutral:
Psyker had a different heat bar in the closed beta, I liked it and having it as an optional change in settings would be a nice touch

Cons:
Brits do not say “elevator“ credit where credit is due I heard quite a few slang terms and was very happy at the attempt to get them right. But we don't say elevator, Americans do, we say lift ( you could say this is minor, and you'd be right I am being rather gripey with this but it’s still language erosion, just because it's English doesn't mean that changes. That and it's very odd to hear UK English with American English words thrown in as a native speaker. Second-language learners probably won't notice it. I imagine it similar to maderinn and Cantonese or Spanish/Portuguese with South America)


Performance (it did get better).
so I hope they keep on this, and if they can keep making it clear if CPU and or GPU still and try to keep as much of it changeable in settings because in 5 years it may not be as much of an issue. POTATO TO ROCKET SCIENCE PC variety

NO OFFLINE PLAY/local host ie DRM (though this may just be beta) ( and I was affected by the queue position 1 bug for 4 days which was over the weekend… when people are off work)

Map selection, sorry but though having the pop-up there is cool and all but can't go wrong with a lobby browser and mission select (maybe make the map one better exp and rewards ect.) Just don't force me into 5 selections of the difficulty I want with only grims as sec objected and endless hoard and force me to wait if I really don't want to play with those modifiers nobody wants grims with 2 pox brothers 2 mutants a dog 2 snipers and a trapper possible monstrosity with grims and a hoard at the same time and I've dealt with vermintide bs before (6 assassins, horde, Legend etc)

Stat BARS, do both bars and say damage 26/40

No cross-character currency share
Just make the change appearance all options inc personality


MINOR CONS:(mostly urks that can be changed) THIS IS ALOT BECAUSE I CARE AND THEY ARE GRIPES.

Penances need drop dop tick boxes to see what I’m missing (vermintide 2 did this)

AMMO BOXES (the ones with infinite ammo), WHERE ARE THEY? Put next to the final medic station that has the guaranteed 4 charges
Specials (pinners and snipers especially) in boss (assassination) rooms (elites are fine)

Bosses (the train station assassination one) are able to prevent you from rezing players making clutches impossible (because no cover)

rez spots being next to spawn doors ( ammo train raid finally)

The dawdling possibly just spawned 1 or 3 behind enemies I swear I'm looking behind more than vermintide

Honestly I'd take a toughness reduction to stop melee bleedthrough because it is effectively (rn) worse than temp hp from virm.
Also (optional) when alone with a very small amount of tough regen, maybe it takes ages to kick in and/or is very slow as when alone in vermintide I can get temp hp on some classes VERY quickly

Corruption over time with grims, when this is stacked with bleed-through and random mission selection I can get genuinely frustrated when the pub picks up a grim on a hard final and we lose because we have no hp when we get to it. Just change it to a fixed hp reduction only and maybe to the person that picks it up only (would be nice)
Specials going back into the spawn door (NOT when unable to get to players,)
Spawn doors near players spawning mobs

DOGS HAVE TOO MUCH HP AND ARE TOO ERRATIC, I can dodge assassins in vermintide but holy hell are dogs inconsistent and tanky (trapper is fine, mutants can be inconsistent but not as bad as dog)

Headshotting a bomber (or weak point) should stop the explosion, (stops teammate damage whos trying to push dodge it)

ALL CLASSES NEED 3 ICONIC TALENTS, though I will admit having a forced coherency talent is nice (ik not always required but we learnt this in vermin tide looking at you pyromancer) teammate-related ones like psychic communion or grenade on kill, looking at you take temp hp from already full teammates, elf.

psyker being very undertuned
ie why lose all stacks on timeout rather than 1 at a time and why only to 4? given that peril gain is FAST, sienna can get off 6 conflags max charge, psyker is 2
its basically pyro sienna (the weakest CC job) with a living bomb (Siena) vent for the ability
Make Kinetic Shield an (additional)iconic talent or Psychic Communion

Psychic Communion Increase warp change chance from teammate higher (10% maybe?)

Also, the soul blazer talent (on weapon) I've seen on crit might be good as an iconic feat due to psyker not having siennas passive fire

The flame staff has the same issue in vermintide which is left click is not a ranged ball but a quick flame giving psyker less range (right click is fine), make it like the beam staff on the left click and flame staff on right. (use the shotgun else were)

Shock staff has a weird issue with trying to target towards lower elevations (not always but very often)

Ascendant Blaze remove the charge expended on the flame attack because the 300-sec penance forces you to go to Kinetic Barrage which -

Kinetic Barrage: The idea is fine but that's what 2 brain bursts? So increased length or/and per burst 5%~ ability back?


Veteran
Getting 7 shots back on a recon gun after an elite kill is kinda insulting

Also the camo talent at 20, just make it passive, not standing still only

I’ll edit more later and regarding grammar, due to my dyslexia I don't notice stuff immediately

Good time sync, very enjoyable, great with friends and has had free dlc events adding content with ice born coming soon
Minor gripes
No 2-player difficulty only solo and multiplayer scaling though ice born is adding this from what I hear
Some hit boxes can be questionable (watching friends be sent flying by air) but not a massive problem
Adding the NPCs to the gathering hub would be nice
Still has denuvo even though it’s been cracked, and the extra framerate would be nice with its removal

Killer
I got Adept within 24 hr of release at high rank and though I haven't played loads of killer (in comparison to game being out) I have played a lot of legion
(note times are estimates and what I've seen elsewhere do not take the numbers as fact but as guide).

Short
Worst Killer in game because at least freddy is 115%,can use exposed and is still 2 hit down.
A Lot of perks do not work on legion ie save best only works in normal hits for quicker recovery to work. Survivor is good though.

LONG

Mori:Good Honestly one of the better ones, feels good man.

Interesting can be fun but can be painful to play and DS is a hard counter (more so than any other killer due to Time to down and stuns).
Addons:brown and yellow: garbage,Green: not great, Purple:Must ,Fuming mix tape too niche ,Iridescent button: Needs to break pallet regardless of Frenzy type.
(brown and yellow button dont even have a use really).

Power
Length: 6 seconds,Too short especially with cooldown and recharge, Duration from green to brown seconds added are about 1.5,1,0.75.

Stun/cooldown 3 SECONDS!!!! 1/2 the power lenth are you serious!? Cancel or not Purple to yellow reduction:1,0.75,0.5 if they are going to keep it at 3 legion need to be 115% speed with more power duration.

Recharge:15 seconds addons yellow to brown 2.5 and 1 (I think) for a 6 second power with a 3 second stun that is too long it should be 8-12 seconds depending on what buffs occur.

Mend:15 seconds to heal and with both knifes 25 seconds
Mend timer with stab wounds study 25 seconds default seems to be 30 which considering it doesn't go down in a chase is long.

Speed:default is not as fast as it feels and seems to be sprint burst speed and the speed addons dont again feel great due to again stun and recharge.

Removal of scratch marks ??? honestly why makes predator useless (not that you should run it, but lack of variety) and due to hight makes corn maps a nightmare The amount of people you can lose in corn is painful.

Perks:Mad grit at lvl 3 only lasts for the duration of the hit slow down so the only distance you gain is the recovery speed (so none really)
Discordance: is a nice perk and can work on them very well but a good team will just spread our or make it the furthest gen to waste your time but because legion needs to prolong the game in their current state ruin and discordance are a good option.
Iron Maiden:Pointless on legion as their are better options but for a perk on other killers could be interesting and will prevent chili hiding and locker trolling so maybe a good option on billy but is niche.

End legion is good at getting hits but not getting downs and due to them being 110% feels slow 112.5 or 115% (leaning more to 4.5m/s (4.4 being 110% and 4.6 being 115%) this is due to out of power ability to get across maps just being painful and infinite loops being possible, hag should also get this though doesn't need it as much since she can teleport.

This is not a good killer but can be a fun one (CAN) good at getting blood points thought if your not rushed.

SUGGESTED FIX AT CURRENT STATE
note i have played more Survivor than killer so I'm trying to balance it this is NOT a killer main suggestion but I do play legion at rank 1.

Addons as they are now not adjusted for below fix
Franks mixtape need to be yellow or green at least as it is too good it's almost a requirement
Iridescent button: breaks pallets regardless
other buttons:remove
Fuming:Gens at 80% (or around this depending on what's fair again due to legion’s inability to cover distance) are shown in or out of frenzy (since Tinkerer works against legions ability).

Decisive strike IF downed with DW and Hits DS mend is still active with 1/3 of bar gone (2 hits down)
IF downed without DW and hits DS no change (tho this is at a stretch and is because other killers require 1 hit to down a injured where legion required a max of 4 with 2 stuns.

FIX/BUFF
Two types of fixes can occur and it revolves around if the stun is reduced or not but this should be stress tested as though it may sound good on a suggestion may be too good Im doing this while thinking of nurse spirit billy but trying to make it like myers or wraith (mid but with addons good but not as good as those 3).

IF Stun(cooldown) is reduced
1/2 stun time making it 1.5 and have 1 cooldown addon a yellow or brown be .5 second removed (leaning on yellow this is like combat straps for pig which from what i hear is 100% decrease though I may be wrong ) but make hitting a DW Survivor 2 or 2.5 (leaning on 2).This makes canceles or failed hits punishing but not oh hi floor wait where did the p3 claudette go.

Speed 112.5% ie 4.5m/s

Default hit does not remove power if survival is not in deep wounds.

Exposed 1st frenzy hit applies DW 2nd exposed hit downs.

Mend Timer 20 seconds not 30 allowing for Stab wound study (if it's 5 seconds) to actually be good.

Duration 8 Seconds with a 12 recharge , joeys mixtape (cooldown) becomes a recharge add on at 3.5 seconds reduction (ie 8.5 second cool down total) but this should be % based so that if duration addon is with it the recharge is slightly longer the duration and make it a purple not green CANNOT BE STACKED. this means julies becomes a green not a yellow with 3 seconds (but again %) but can be stacked with the 2 rulers which are to be left unchanged (2.5 and 1).

Duration addons while think of above are currently 1.5 1 and 0.5 so add 0.5 to each making them 2,1.5 and 1 making a max duration of 11.5 or if duration and joey's above 10 seconds with a 10.5 (ish) recharge.

Blades no change if mend is changed above as nasty and stab is a nasty combo but considering its 2 purples and mend is not healing and not able to use other addons SHOULD ( I stress Im not a master balancer) be fine.

The iradesents ( same as mentioned above)

Hits to down 3 and remove franks mixtape
this is so chases last as long as normal killers (thinking of wraiths speed or nurse with stuns or billy) but remember hitting a DW survivor is more punishing than cancel (note cancel in a chase at >75% power should also have the 2 second DW 2nd hit stun rather than the 1.5 )

Same DS suggestion (optional)

This is my preferred of the two changes as it aims to make no addons average while making addons good but worse than the top 3.

Option 2 IF STUN IS KEPT at 3 seconds and my none prefeard of the two options

Speed 115% or 4.6m/s

Buff the cool down addons from 1 and 0.75 and 0.5 by 0.25 making cool down min 0.75
HOWEVER
keep franks mixtape make it green.

Cancel out of chase default 2 seconds yes this makes the cooldown with addons 0 but in chase at 75% or more cancel stun 2 seconds but below the full 3 (base timmer before addons) and ofc hitting a DW is full 3.

Same Iridescent suggestions
Same duration Increase Suggestion
But not the same recharge suggestion this is because of 115% speed so your rechage should take longer
Same Exposed Suggestion
Same DS suggestion (2 hits w cool down to down with franks making it 1 hit, apply timmer bar accordingly) still annoying AF but at least it is not 4 hits with 3 cooldowns again where every other killer only requires 1
Mend same suggestion as before.

The main reason with this is because though legion is good at occupying 1 survivor he has no pressure at all unless it is a small map.

These suggestion may not be perfect but they are something better than his current state.

Perks are interesting and all have interesting uses and variants on existing perks.

Aftercare: is bond but with a requirement
Breakdown:hybrid of sabotage and deliverance
Distortion: A different take on Sole survivor
+beard

some hex spots are decent but the one by the sign and the one by the outcrop gen /spawn needs to go/be obscured better as they are too obvious.

I must say this game is very good and i's a shame they stoped updating it , the amount of top plays I did on this since I stared playing in the open beta. ohh and when that music played when you got the flag

doombringer gen defender and combat tech (b4 tech update) were 2 things I thought up during my time playing and even though they wernt exactly the class roll, they were still really effective. and that one time I e grabed from base to other teams base and back and capped it as an inf.

These are great times i had with this game with fun memorys and i couldn't recomend this game more (i forgot stickied grav bikes) if theres one thing i disagree with what they changed was the last jackle nerf the other ones were needed as it was op but the last one i feel just wasnt needed and make it a bit weak than it should of been (however i havnt played this game in a while so this is off the top of my memory

Over all this game is good ,fun and high rez y u leave it and go do smite :'c it died then :'c

Basicly get some antibacterical wipes because you mouse is gunna get so sweaty in fear and consentration your gunna have mold by the 8th night
