This War of Mine is an incredibly interesting take on the survival ascept taking place in a war scenario.
The gloomy atmosphere really gives you a very dark & sinister sensation, which fits the game nicely.

Note (1): I did spend alot more time than what steam says, since this a great game to play when you are going somewhere with no internet access.

You will start up with 3 survivors, who all have their own unique ablities and backstories, which after a while develops a small relation between you and the character itself.
All the playable survivors have their own personalities and feelings on what should have been done on some scenarios.
You will be given numerous choices that may be extremely unpleasant to deal with.
An example is when two kids knocked on my door in desperate need of two bottles of pills.
You have the option of turning them down, but by doing this you will mentally damage all the survivors who want the good thing to be done.
You do also have an option of thinking it through by saying to them "Maybe Later". They will then leave and come back in a day or two in search for the medicine for their mother.
Then there is also the generous, but costly action that gives them the medicine.

As I stated in on the unpleasant event of the two kids. There is a morale system in the game that plays a huge role on the game itself, but it also impacts some of the players playing this game.
Personally I was in a small emotional roll when having the option to either help or not to.
I wanted to do the right thing to everyone beyond my shelter, but I also had to keep my own survivors in shape, both mentally in physically.
If someone got slighty sad, they were still operational, but keep talking to themself on what should have been done or why did it have to be done.
When reaching a certain point, your characters will become depressed and even broken at some point.
When at their breaking point, they will collapse of stress and sadness that is being forced into them.
From either an other survivor dying because you couldn't find them help or that you had to go a murderous spree, just to survive the following day.
You will be forced into a situation where you will have to do something awful to survive.

There is so much depth in the game that really wants you to keep going.
At the time I wrote this review there is two bases that you can end up with, There is also 12 survivors that you can be played. The game also has a random seed that randoms the places that your current game can visit, meaning that next time you start a new game you might have a new place that you didn't have in the previous game. What I wanted to tell you is that it has some replayability.
I do have to say that this game has a very bright future for itself and I will look forward for new update from the developers.

Note (2): I did forget to tell you about other game mechanics, but I didn't have time to write a really proper review with the current time I had in hand. So feel free to ask me anything, if your heart so desires. I will try to answer them as fast as possible, that is incase I receive any.

I think this game is okey, but still not the best game out there for the price. I happened to get it cheap, but im still not satisfied of the game.
Though the game is a bit more different then most games nowadays, I can honestly say that there are better ones out there.
Even "Silent Storm" which infact has a same kind of battle style is much more enjoyable and challenging, even though its quite old.
Now "Omerta: City Of Gangsters" doesnt have alot of choices of weapons and buildings. Though there are DLC packs, but I wouldnt buy them.
So i'll say it one more time, take your money elsewhere and buy something else.

My favorite strategy game. The game has extremely good graphics for its age and the game is very cheap in steam. I myself bought an anthology set (includes company of heroes, tales of valor and opposing front. I find this game extremely addictive and i cant just get enough of it. The storyline is great and the game is challenging for the most part. Id give it 5/5 for being cheap, fun and addictive.
