The progression is slow and feels much akin to something you would find in any Call of Duty game.

Cover in the heists is poor. When combined with unrelenting SWAT spawns, you will frequently be backed into a corner with no escape.

Only 8 heists on launch. If the gold edition is anything to go by, there will be 4 more added within the next year. This alongside slow progression makes the gameplay loop get old quickly.

Gunplay itself feels nice but after almost 30 hours I have a whole 10 weapons unlocked. Did I mention this game's progression is slow?

Overall a lackluster experience not worth a $40 price tag. Stick with PAYDAY 2.
