Doing my part to offset the people who were already going to hate it because of the main characters. Good game, and a wild step forward in open world game design. (seriously, nature is overpowering here.. so much nature)

Fond memories of playing this game. Even at regular price it was fantastic. If you aren't into campy parody, probably not for you. If you enjoy tactical rpg's, grew up watching "sentai" shows, and think Adam West was the most amusing Batman. This is the game for you. Came to see if it was up on the new Turn Based sell and was surprised to see it was, and that it's overwhelmingly positive.. so here's my review to help keep it that way.

Combat like Darkest Dungeon.
Base building like Fallout Shelter.
A mission board like Xcom.
But you're weak little goblins trying to survive against adventurers.

It's quite a charming little game so far. I haven't came across whatever these bugs are people are claiming. Only bug I've encountered are the spiders my little buddies slapped and poked. Though I'm only two bosses deep so who knows. The price is a bit of a surprise to me though. I mean it's fully voiced so that can't be cheap but I wasn't expecting $25 for something that is effectively just 3 buttons (left, right, and interact) with a combat system that works best just clicking and dragging.

The only in game aspect I don't like is a me issue, you have to have deaths (or just dismiss skilled goblins) in order to upgrade further. I beat xcom ironman without losing a single soldier, darkest dungeon on the hardest with my original squad.... my mentality is not setup for this notion that some must die and this is the first game in this kind of genre where it is a requirement. I would love to get Goblin Souls for just dismissing the goblins at the camp I don't want too.

This review will stay negative until our brothers in arms from all of Super Earth are able to join in the fight... not just Snoy's approved Earth.

Early Access Review
I don't like the weapons, things that work get diluted by things that don't when you unlock them later on. I never felt as powerful as I did when I first unlocked the Gunner. Get those two rapid fire pistols that fire in an X and the mirror that fires in + and you effectively have made Garlic in those other games. Nuisance enemies get cleared out quick. But then you get grenades and gadgets that deal fire damage, over time. Or electrical damage, over time. Why is electrical damage over time? If I got struck by lightning I doubt it's going to kill me 3 days from when I got struck.

The map design, I don't like that the game is broken up into 5 mini-maps. Feels bad to get moving and rolling and before you know it, it's time to leave. You feel rushed, constantly. You have to leave a lot behind and it just feels awful. This map system exists in Brotato and it doesn't feel as bad, but that's because all your loot comes with you after. Perhaps make the drop pod drill thing be a magnet when it leaves it just sucks up everything on the ground for you.

Otherwise though, it's still a YES from me. Being fresh into Early Access, and from a franchise I feel can be trusted to improve and shoot for a fully fledged out game a year from now.

I'll just drop a yes here to counter the never fixed negatives from the launch bug that made DP not add to roster. I don't personally like him though.

As a playable hero he's just okay, idk why he's here. He isn't that good build wise(imo) and doesn't mesh well with the other characters. The attempt at humor often falls flat and comes later from other characters disapproval of Wade.

As for the new missions, The start of the dlc story and a nod towards the main stories ending is all there really is to gain from the these. Great to get as a bundle, individual prices seem high.

The three story missions continue from Deadpool's, and tie in nicely for Morbius. Venom is more funny than DP, fits the group better and has a more enjoyable kit(imo). So far, win-win.

That said though: If you're buying them all as a whole it's great, especially just grabbing the upgrade pack on sale. But the price for individual is too steep given how quickly it can be smashed through.

Very surprising Rythm game. Not only can it use your own music, but it also has Workshop support, so lots of fan built characters to choose from. (Ruby Rose <3 ) One of the better songs I tried from my PC was Gangnam Style.. the detection system was near flawless for that.

Only major issue I see is the tempo is limited to 4/4. This means some of your more upbeat music (DDR mixes for me) will feel off beat or like it's just missing keystrokes.

This game is not Fallout, it's not an RPG. Your ending is as linear Mass Effect 3's.

It is however one of the best single player open world survival base/city builders on the market...

Okay, it's the only one. I hate this game, make no mistake.. but after searching for hours to find a game where I go out into the wild, gather resources, slowly rebuild a shelter and eventually turn it into a functioning town... I haven't found another better option.

Very little effort was put into this guy. Free was the correct price point. Animation wise, he's just the Chaos Sorcerer. There are no voice overs for him, not even mechanical grunts or static. When he does die, the other races will confirm exactly what happened behind the scenes: "A friendly Sorcerer must now explain his failures to Tzeenth" (as Chaos Sorcerer yourself).. all races will voice that your Sorcerer ally died, not a Necron. He's a lazy copy paste with little thought into his items.

His power caps out early towards being able to solo Anvil into the higher teen levels and he'll solo carry all the way to wave 16 in Coliseum where his clone is even more unkillable than he is and you'll lose unless you have all night to play mind games with it whie you whittle away his health. At the higher level you get gear that can make you more into a mage, but why take that when you could be a mechanical reaper with 72% damage reduction and 6+ hp regen a second that you had since level 7? Highest defensive values of any character, will shrug off all hits until you start encountering actual tanks.

I love TLS and put a lot of time into this sole game mode, even back on G4WL. I had a 3 pip level 20 long before I ever finished the Campaign. This game is dead, it went out as a high note for THQ. Please leave it alone Sega with your shoddy quality.
