Early Access Review
Hellish Quart, a rather interesting fighting game that tries to replicate the devastation of sword fighting where a single critical blow is the end of the foe. It's good to see different fighting styles against each other and in some places showing the weaknesses of one vs the other, particularly regarding ranged fighting. I do think at least vs AI you can start to learn the patterns a little too easy at this stage, but I'm highly suspecting this will change.

I do believe there's been several youtubers who have discussed this game in regards to the swordfighting the devs are trying to bring to the table.

Even in game's current state it's very fun to play and even get your friends involved with the steam friend gameplay options.

Coupled with Multiplayer prospects I think this will develop itself into a niché fighting game. I also do appreciate the lore and historical snippets that are shown to us at times and feel this would be lovely if we can make a "book" of related content through our victories.

Touhou Mystia's Izakaya is a nice casual game whereby you collect ingredients and talk to local characters during the day, then at night open up your Izakaya bar at night. The gameplay loop for the most part is relatively simple, and the story elements are not too complex. Without giving any spoilers you essentially expand where you can setup shop and the amount of seating/cooking appliances you have and repeat this cycle a few times. In some ways having to clear off debts which slowly increase over time reminded me of Recettear.

I picked this game up not expecting too much and have just found it a pleasure to play, probably even going as far to say it's been the game of the year so far for me. You can deviate from the recipes you choose for the named characters by looking up the recipe for a particular dish you know how to make and just lob the ingredients in to cook it. Pixel Artwork for this game is vibrant and beautiful, also allowing you to revisit story pictures back in your home. The Salt Bae referenced loading screens are a brilliant touch.

Whilst this game isn't natively in English, there is an official translation Over time the DLC's are being translated and the devs give a rough estimate how long it'll take to translate.

I've not encountered any bugs so far although the game does warn you to use multiple save slots in the event of error. A nifty touch is the game has a built in backup feature so if something did happen, or you've been editing files, you can easily role back. I have noticed the odd translation error and sometimes during conversations the UI will overlap making it a little hard to read at times.

For any Touhou Fans this game is probably a must buy especially at the price it is. As with most casual games they often have the same gameplay loops, so if you're looking for fast paced action or lots of variety this may not be for you. With this all being said the steam store page actually has quite a lot of information and imagery which is representative of the gameplay you'll find.

Early Access Review
The game is rather simple yet brilliant at it's delivery, you're tasked with clearing a debt by salvaging up various ships to get their valuable resources. With 15 minute shifts, and a few simple tools you can carve up with a surprising amount of freedom in a zero-g 6 degrees of freedom environment.

There's two ways to approach this game and both are brilliant depending on what you're looking for. Going in hardcore you can race to get as much as you possibly can to maximise your profits. With this method you are smashing through the work orders with as much efficiency as you can muster while trying your best not to falter on hazards. While on the other hand you can take this as a calming and chilling game, delicately slicing up the salvage with the well suited ambient music and friendly conversation from your handler.

All in all I've enjoyed this game so far, there's been a few little glitches and issues but as of the time of review this is an early access game and is being developed still, so a little leeway is expected.

I love Touhou, I've been playing the series since 2004 with PCB being my first one.
What more can I say, a nice light hearted game after Touhou Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom.

Those The All-Too-Dangerous Backup Dancers are brilliant!

Simply one of the best games of all time. Story rich with plenty of challenge when running on the hardest difficulties.

This game also features one of the best fishing simulators of all time. Oh how I love to grab my fairy sister and toss her into the water to lure the beasts from below.
