As fun as this game is, my review is staying negative until the NG+ remains a paid purchase. There's also like 20 DLCs for this game that cost like $150 that are almost all just level skips on top of locking jobs to DLC since Day 1. Some of the worst DLC practices I've come across in a while...

Completely overpriced in India, 4900 for a DLC that is basically 3/4 through its lifecycle is a complete rip-off.

This is the expansion that truly made this game's PvP pay to win.

I see people not recommending this expansion or hating on it based on the changes done to the base game (content vault) which has I feel pretty undeserved. This new expansion itself is good, its way better than Shadowkeep and its cliffhanger ending, has a lot more content like strikes under a new name (empire hunts), an upcoming raid that I can't say anything about since I haven't played, new subclasses, new exotics that require you to do content that is challenges at the date of this review, an entire new map and a lot of lore that finally isn't just hidden in books. I don't know the 40$ cost that it seems to have (since it was basically half the price in my country), but its definitely not something deserves to be the outlet for hate. (Go ♥♥♥♥ on the base game about the content removal lol, that's where they should be)

It's a fun game, but I get an average of 200-300 ping... Yea, it goes as well as you'd expect...

The developers of this game are currently being ruled over by tone deaf money hungry businessmen who don't care about player or developer feedback with the developers/community managers having no sway over them. Every finance related decision made by Bungie has been terrible as of late and I unfortunately don't see this ever changing.
If a company has a massive layoff of 8% (hundreds of people in this case) ranging from juniors who haven't been here for long to industry vets who've been part of the company for decades and the only part of the company unaffected by it is management, I think, shows pretty clearly what state the company is in.
What's worse is the layoffs happened even after Bungie got an absurd amount of $1.2 Billion to help retain staff after the Sony take-over, and was apparently caused because Lightfall preorders were 45%~ less than estimated among many reasons such as declining performance.
All of this is happening after they decided to have a new bigass office in Bellevue, Washington which is one of the most expensive places to live while Bungie is known for being stingy in the salary department.
It gets worse the more you dig into it, and as much as I want the developers, the people who care for the game to succeed, I don't really see a way to do it without letting the management continue doing what they're already doing and so I cannot recommend this game to anyone whether new or returning
