Early Access Review
You have to spend a lot of time just to set up an item for your friends to spawn with you, and then one of you has to make an entirely new character to actually spawn in together with your friend. It's needlessly complicated, just allow me to teleport to my friend, we want to learn the game together lol. Bad game design

Otherwise, the game looked promising, even if the UI is extremely outdated and unintuitive.

I'd suggest making quality of life changes - allow new characters to spawn together, make right click the action button, not sometimes left click, sometimes right click. Have a pop up for whatever you're trying to interact with. For example, there were options to craft items but there was no way to check what those items are, and unless you study the dictionary you will have no idea what those items mean/do. Why not have an action menu, let me hover over it, and read what the item does?

It looks very beautiful and it seems very complex, and as much as I like games that have huge complexity such as Project Zomboid or Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, I was not having fun playing this game simply because it's made artificially difficult with bad UI and game design game choices.

tl;dr looks like it could be a cool game but the game UI and design choices made me and my friend frustrated and we stopped playing within 15 minutes. The funny thing is, if we had been allowed to spawn in together and figure the game out together, I imagine we would have maybe continued playing it.

This game pleasantly surprised me. It's pretty, has an engaging story and very good voice acting. There are some quality of life features missing here and there, but overall nothing that would make it unplayable. It has very interesting base building mechanics that force you to keep expanding and organizing your infrastructure - resources are finite. It's quite satisfying to gradually see your base grow as the planet becomes more and more similar to Earth.
Definitely worth a try, haven't felt so immersed in a game in a while.

Tutorial is crap and outdated, the game isn't the best when it comes to optimization, but it's pretty unique and cool. Building sucks and it's very hard to rotate blocks to your liking. It suffers from the same problem as Space Engineers, where you can't make your crafts float mid air while building, like you can in From The Depths, for example. It needs a lot more love but it is promising, seems a bit like a better Space Engineers.

There are very few games in the world that give you this sense of "wow, this can change someones life". Well, this game has changed hundreds of thousands of peoples life's, if not millions. Who knew that a game about launching little green men into space would inspire the next generation of space explorers?

I wish there was a neutral or informational review option on steam, because I can't either recommend or say no to this game.

It's a solid "okay" experience. The game has great potential but it is more arcade-based which is what brings it down in my eyes. You start to realize after about 20 hours of playing this game, that there's not that much to do in it. It's quite repetitive and mostly just involves you going back and forth doing the same thing until you get to the better resource zones. Make money, make a mining ship, make it gather ores, go find better guns for your ships, fight a boss, establish yourself in a system with the new resources you need, repeat.

It's an okay experience with friends and there are maybe 50 hours of content in the game but like me and my friends did, you will soon realize that it's a relatively boring and at times frustrating experience.

It is rare that you find a game that genuinely is scary. This is one of those games that is. And it has VR support. And, it's co-op too!

This feels like a much more streamlined version of CK2. It's not too difficult to get into for a person who has experience with CK2 as many of the games aspects remain the same, however, there's a lot more stuff that the developers added to expand onto the game. Big plus for the fact that they released this game as more or less the same as CK2 with all the DLC's.

Another thing this game does very well in general is story creation. As I'm writing this, my friend excitedly showed us how his lunatic Emperor made everyone in his immediate family become... naked. Yeah.

However, there are bad things about this game. Countries get random territories in a whole different part of Europe, for example, resulting in Sweden having an exclave in Livonia, that is completely surrounded by another country. These kinds of things break immersion, but I've been told that there's different game rules you can set when starting a game to disable this. Why this isn't a thing by default, I have no idea, but it seems it's not too hard of a fix.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't know why people like this game so much. It's just a sitting simulator and mashing some keys in-between. In general, it's a huge timesink and just a mediocre trucking simulator. Some of the earliest games I ever played were trucking simulators and they were a lot more exciting than ETS2. Big worlds that you didn't have to pay to get, police, economies, realistic damage models, etc.

This game doesn't really have any of that. Driving too fast, driving trough a red light and generally breaking the traffic laws will just get you fined. That's it. You can't really do whatever you want in the game because you automatically get fined.
I wouldn't recommend this game for 20 euros as it's base price sits right now, but with sales, sure, why not, if this interests you, it's not the worst trucking game out there. But, that being said, the game is definitely not as good as people make it out to be.

This game has it's fun moments but it's certainly not worth 40 euros. At the end of the day, you do the same kind of quests over and over again, and you just never progress apart from getting new slightly different quests and/or changing how your character/ship looks. I can compare this game to Euro Trucking Simulator 2 with some combat in-between. There's some issues too, like boss fights which can take up to half an hour or even more for whatever reason.

Speaking of combat, it's really basic. You have a block and a attack and that's it. It's really not that engaging and you can only really die when there's a lot of enemies. PVP is... I mean, it's there? There's really not that much different about it from PVE combat, you just hope you can hit your enemy and that's it.

The only thing about this game that I really liked was the enviroment and the interactions with other people, because those were the only things that made me actually smile in the game. It was fun sailing close to a volcano, only for it to explode and start burning our ship. The very few, rare player interactions were cool too, but there's too few of them to really say much about it.

Anyway, if a friend buys this game for you, then, yeah, sure, you can play it. But, having played it and seeing what the game actually is, I can't recommend it.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. THIS ISN'T ONE OF THOSE GAMES WHERE YOU SHOULD TRUST THE VERY POSITIVE REVIEWS. IT IS AT BEST AN EARLY ALPHA RELEASE, NOT A FULL 1.0 GAME.

The multiplayer is horribly and hopelessly broken to the point where it shouldn't even be in the game at all at this point. This game has been out for a long time and you still can't play it properly.

Imagine my surprise when I alt tab to my friends discord stream and see my own actions from over a minute ago. My character carrying the patient to the tutorial boat, while I had already done that over a minute ago. The boat not moving for him when I'm already at another part of the island.

Singleplayer is boring, the missions are repetitive and aren't very dynamic.
Terrain is quite weird, there's random train lines in the oceans, islands look like a kid tried to make a fictional land mass.

Building is very tedious, there's no sense of scale, and compared to other games like From The Depths, it's really nowhere near as good.

Shame on the developers, this game is an utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It has potential but, what the actual ♥♥♥♥. Steam should not allow developers like this to leech on customers. Talk about false advertising, huh?
