The best open world RPG first or third person RPG ... ever? It might not be as moddable as Skyrim (yet), but as a stand-alone product there is nothing that even comes close to the quality Warhorse have delivered with this game. It is outstanding.

No fluff, just automation. No ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, just efficiency. The factory must grow.

Boring, bland, infantile. Bethesda took a look at what they were good and bad at, threw away the good bits and made a game out of everything they do worse than every other major studio, all realized in a badly aged engine.

Just buy it, we all know it's the best game of 2023 by such a huge margin, it's not even funny anymore. Heck, make sure you buy it at full price. The devs deserve every penny.

An incredible, outstanding roguelite. Easily the GOTY 2020 for me.

Crusader Kings 2 was a title laden with tons of different mechanics introduced over the course of many DLCs across the entire lifespan of the game. Many of these mechanics were beloved additions (lifestyles, religions etc.), while some others were despised or regarded with little care.

Because there was so much content that could be brought into CK3, way too much for the base game, the worry was that Paradox would cut some of the good features and expand on some of the bad ones. However, they managed to avoid this pitfall. Even without DLCs Crusader Kings 3 is a fantastic, highly enjoyable game with a high degree of polish.

While there are some minor gripes (e.g. the UI still being clunky at times), CK3 as a base game is superior to CK2 in every way except for mod and DLC availability - and those are just a matter of time. I'm excited for the future of this game.
