EvE Online will always hold a soft spot in my heart... no better way to relax for a few hours when you find the time, and no pressure to rush, it's really a great game to play on the side if your looking to still scratch your mmo itch.

Alpha accounts (free to play) are very accessible, allowing you to basically access all the major activities the game has to offer. Exploration, Combat, and PvP are very doable in alpha states and with the expanded ship access and the alpha injectors, very easy to realize and obtainable goals can be made for free to play players to make for themselves. Mining, and Industry is a bit bare bones but that is to be expected as many of those have a much larger impact then combat type activities. As a returning player, alpha is nice as well once I'm reacquaint with controls as the builds for activities have become restrictive for my character is still fun to fit around.

Speaking of readjusting to the game. New character experience (tutorial) and career agents are structured much better then how they used to be over 10 years ago. It really didn't take too long for me to get the hang of the controls again and once finished was able to jump right back into the mind set on my main. That being said I think it's great for new players as well, as the most basic concepts are laid out In a much more digestible way, and the career agents give a very basic, but nice little overview of some of the core things that can be done in the game. What impressed me also was the AIR missions which acted as a expanded tutorial and checklist of things to do in the game with some nice rewards to boot. Great way to encourage players to dabble into other forms of content. Impact right now since coming back I set a goal to try and complete the AIR objectives, and so far it's been a lot of fun.

The universe of EvE is still kicking if your looking to engage yourself in such things. This game actively encourages you to group up, meet people and join corporations(guilds) not only as a means to make activities easier, but to protect yourself from players who have other interests in you... There is a reason why this game has garnered a reputation it has for player interactions, but i assure you that you dont always need to be on guard. For first timers I highly recommend trying to seek out a corporation to join as it will make learning the game more forgiving and more fun in the long run. Plus most corps can be pretty new player friendly, just be sure to keep an open mind. That being said, as a solo player myself I can still find and partake in plenty of activities by myself. Again it may be more difficult to do solo, but for me that's the fun in it as well satisfying.

Overall it's in a good state playability wise. Lots to do and a nice way to kill the time. Plenty of stuff to do and goals to set. Again no need or pressure to rush to "end game" and maximize the meta. The meta in EvE is always there in the background, but thr flexibility of the game means you don't have to always follow or even takes things your own way. If your looking for some time to kill I highly recommend you take a shot at EvE Online.

This game refuses to start/launch after fresh install. It took me over an hour to finally get it running, but by then I was already feed up with the game. I deleted it and reintalled it. I will not touch this game untill they fix this issue and not force their customers to go though work arounds. I will continue to check if this issue is resolved, but until then...Save your money...

Great Game. Makes so many improvments over the first one and it looks nice. 10/10 must buy if your into co-op shooters. Lots of fun.

Very good game. The variations in which you can approach a situation are staggering, making each engagement different from the last. Good pvp, and with stable servers, you'll enjoy it, especially with friends.

02/19/2016: It is not in a buyable state. I will update this review as time goes on, but this game should be avoided for people thinking about jumping in. The servers are still very unstable and in you get disconnected while doing something sp/or mp. You lose all your progress. And theres is no support currently for DIMPUT controllers. Avoid for now...

11/06/2016: Ment to write this earlier. The game is fine now. No arcade mode but the gameplay is solid and tight. There is enough fetures in to justify the cost and other then for a few costumes that you have to microtransaction for, it can all be obtainable if you put the time into the game. Its also been out long enough so it will be on sales so if you want to wait thats ok too. Its a good game. (Though still no DIMPUT...)

11/22/2017: This game has its problems. Its depth compared to many other fighters is lacking, Netcode is still jittery, and it doesn't give you much to do if you want to play by yourself. That said... AE will be coming out soon and things look promising. Something to note also since my last update to this game... D-Imput is in the game, so rejoice to those that use a PS4 or specific Sticks. Micro Transactions are quite heavy atm for optional stuff like stages and costumes so that is a sad point, though with AE, there will be options and stuff offered to us without spending money.

The much more expanded single player content, and an ARCADE MODE! Things look better on this front.

New options for existing mechanics will add some new veriety to the game, though I don't think it will slove it's issuses that people have it with already.

Its netcode is still the same, but with a growing player base it is not as bad as your more then likely to find people closer to you now then you were at launch.

Over all much has improved.

It also has the plus of being the Top/Premire Fighting game out there. Its got so much esports coverage and so much spotlight, that it's player base (one of the more important parts for buying a PC ver. of a fighting game) is large and growing. I think what will be offered in the Arcade Edition for this title will worth it and if you are new or interested into jumping into fighting games, Street Fighter has always been a great starting point for learning the basics, and hey...If you don't end up liking it, many of the skills you learn translate very easy to other fights and I'm sure you'll find something.
