Welp, guess what? They did what they promised. They made the game fun again, buffing niche and obscure weapons/stratagems, effectively allowing people to use "off-meta" stuff.

So ye, go and spread Managed Democracy!

Edit: The space station isn't as good as they promised it would be.

This game has leaves, and you blow them, amazing.
Would totally spend my whole day playing this.

Let's start with pros:

• Graphics: The game looks amazing, UE4 makes everything look very appealing.
  
  
• Car roster: Honestly, there are so many cars to choose from (If you get them the ones you want that is, but on that later)
  
  
• Track and livery editor: In right hands, those can be very cool to mess with, allowing players to create some insanely good tracks, and car liveries.
  
  
• Campaign: The only way you can actually have fun with this game nowadays (7th Nov as of writing this review), though bots do seem overpowered at times.

Cons:

• The grind: The only way to get cars is to either buy them from the shop (which was improved a lot), or via "loot boxes" for coins. Coins can be earned either via completing races in campaign and multiplayer. I can understand why people resort to using CE to add in coins/gears, since it'd take an absurd amount of time to unlock everything.
  
  
• Multiplayer: Yes, this is a con, multiplayer is a mess. There is no way to kick AFK people, who only serve as roadblocks for those who actually want to race. Like it was mentioned by other people, this way people can get coins, without the need to play the game. This only hurts actual players in the long run.
  
  
• Cheaters: Sigh...Yes, cheaters do appear in this game already. I am not talking about those, who cheat in currencies, I talk about blunt cheaters who use speedhacks/infinite boost to win in the multiplayer mode. Without any anti-cheat in place, this will make the already dead MP mode even more dead. Leaderboards are also filled with cheated times, not sure what good this does to the cheating person, but oh well.
  
  
• Prices and DLCs: The game is simply too expensive for what it has to offer. I got the game in the "Ultimate Stunt Edition", which includes two season passes. So far the devs seem blind and deaf to what their fans want. Yes, I am THAT HW35/Acceleracer fan who wants more of those cars in the game. If I knew I would be getting a "Barbie Camper", I would have never got the most expensive pack. Time will tell what will be included in the 2nd season pass.
  
  In current state, I cannot recommend this game. There are too many ongoing issues that need addressing. I am glad the devs are trying their best to fix them, but there is still a long way to go.
  The game is fun, don't get me wrong, but it upsets me I paid so much, only to be stuck in the same lobby with the same cheating guy. If you aren't a fan of multiplayer, give this game a go for sure, otherwise, wait for a sale.

I played both demo and the full release version. Did I have fun? Of course I did, it's not a bad game, despite all graphical issues. It's a shame I had more fun with the demo, as the main release requires constant connection to the servers for some reason. Getting kicked out of singleplayer session isn't fun, stay away either until servers get stable, or until we get "an offline mode".

Edit as of 02.04: Majority of issues, such as frame rate drops and connection to the servers are now fixed, making the game enjoyable.

Get some friends, grab some beer, go to the most hostile planet known to a dwarf, dig, dig, dig some more, kill lots of bugs, die to your friend's C4, finish the mission, go to the bar again to get some more beer and drink until you all pass out.

10/10 - Would get drunk again.

Update: Season 3 added even more features such as new hazard, new random event (meteorite) as well as new grenades. Oh, don't forget the new season pass that's free. :3
