This is so close to being a really good game.

The aesthetics are cute, the creatures have weird walk animations and collisions that is more endearing than problematic, and the music is good. There's a TON of lore and some really cool mechanics between farming and potion brewing, and the lighthouse puzzles themselves aren't terribly difficult or repetitive.

And you can ignore all of that. You literally do not need to follow or use any of the game mechanics at all, and 95% of the lore is irrelevant to story progression. This feels like someone's first game who had a lot of good ideas and just didn't know how to properly implement them into one unified game.

That being said, that game IS fun, and pretty relaxing as well. I had it on while watching some episodes of Critical Role and it was great. I'm not sure I would recommend purchasing at full price, but if it's on a decent sale then it's worth a quick play through, emphasis on quick.

The graphics on this game are pretty decent, but that's about the only aspect that's really worth it. This is a game best played while you do or watch something else, and even then only when on a significant sale.

The missions are pretty much the same between each level, and the game gets extremely repetitive after the first one. You are constantly digging up trash items like nails or carabiners, and while that might be accurate to real life, it does not make for a great gaming experience.

As stated before, if you do play it is best when watching/doing something else, as it can be a somewhat relaxing experience then while you mindlessly dig holes. Make sure to turn the detector sound down or off for the best experience.

This game is extremely fun, especially with a group of people to play with, and the price is more than fair. $30 USD wouldn't be unreasonable for this game, in my opinion. The base game has around 5-15 hours of game play, depending on how quickly you figure out some of the puzzles and whether or not you use guides. Replayability isn't super high, but can still be fun if you're with a new person / group of people and let them do most of the problem solving. The game really shines with community content, as there is high workshop support including monthly spotlights of the most popular rooms made and semi-regular contests. As of this writing the DLC isn't out yet, but $5 USD for it again is very reasonably priced and is definitely something I'm looking forward to. 10/10, highly recommend this game. Very relaxing, the community rooms are often as good or better than the base game, and even when not are often hilarious. Great to play with a partner or friends and just relax.

Early Access Review
Super fun and addicting game. I keep telling myself just 1 more round and suddenly it's an hour and half later. Perfect for playing on the Steam Deck and just relaxing for a while.

I love this game and I don't know why. It is simplistic, it is easy to figure out, it has minimal and abstract graphics. Yet, it is quite beautiful, relaxing, and tugs at your curiosity in an amazing way. There is a strange sense of wonderment when you first start, and if you take the game at the pace it was designed for -- slow, enjoying the ride and explore the galaxy -- then that wonderment travels with you and allows for some intriguing gameplay. Even if you only play for an hour, I can't recommend this game highly enough. Give it a try.
