Well it's certainly a game
What I have to say isn't too dissimilar from many of the other negative reviews of this game. I haven't played the original LSL games so I'm not really sure how it stacks up in comparison but what I've played is pretty disappointing for a few reasons.

1.) The play area is pretty small there's 4 or so areas you'll end up wandering back and fourth in and after a while it gets a bit tedious. Especially if you get stuck on one of the puzzles. Speaking of which

2.) The puzzles were pretty hit or miss for me. Some of them were dead simple such as rewinding a cassette using a pencil or using rubber gloves to handle a live exposed electrical wire while others were obtuse as a result of an items name being misleading ( disinfectant wipe meaning alcohol wipe vs bleach or ADBAC ) or a solution to a previous problem spawning into an area you were previously at after progressing through someone elses 'story line'.

3.) This is a bit of a subjective point but I didn't really like the humor. It felt very safe and easy. I think the closest I got to laughing was seeing Larrys profile picture for the first time due to the Ren and Stimpy style horrible close up. The rest of the games humor boils down to people just sort of hating Larry, Larry or others always talking about or alluding to sex, everything resembling something sexual, Larry failing to have sex and people puking and/or farting. These gags are recycled ad nauseam and due to the lack of subtlety and due to them being telegraphed in such a way that it is easily predicted they quickly stop being amusing and slip into the realm of boring or annoying. Maybe this games humor will work for some but it just didn't land right for me.

4.) The story loses focus and falls off as you approach the middle/end of the game. I guess Larry decided to hyper-fixate on the second girl he met after coming out of stasis and the story starts with Larry running errands for people he meets on a dating app so he can get a high enough score to win a date with this girl. This morphs into Larry suddenly and inadvertently taking down the company she works at which then turns into Larry becoming the mexicans...? prophesized hero. They are trying to do way to much at once and never really explore any of the themes or stories they bring up ( outside of the Richards whose story spans most of the game ) so it ends up feeling disjointed and unsatisfying and come the end of the game it felt as though the writers had run out of time and just sort of threw their hands in the air and gave up.

5.) Ham-fisted political messaging. It's fine I guess if you want to insert some amount of politics into your game but for the love of god make it subtle. There's a lot of gender politics/lgbt stuff going on in this game and it's not handled with tact. There were sections of the game where I felt like I was being preached at and pandered to. For instance, during the epilogue they have this weird, exaggerated take on women in the workplace/as bosses wherein the antagonist for the game is pitching their new technology and the men in the room ♥♥♥♥ on her ideas, make fun of her then, essentially but not in these exact words, tell her to get back into the kitchen and make them a sandwich. After that she hires a guy to do the exact same pitch and all of the sudden the guys in the room are really into it so she has to use an actor as the face of the company since apparently men hate women and don't take them seriously or respect them I guess...?

Then there is the bizarre Donald Trump cameo that didn't really have a purpose other than to give the devs an opportunity tell us just how much they dislike him. I wasn't expecting the sheer amount of political messaging and honestly it was a huge turn-off for me primarily due to how poorly it was handled. I don't play games to be preached at and pandered to and I certainly didn't expect this from a raunchy comedy adventure game.

So to sum up my thoughts on this game, I think that the art and voice acting are good and I had fun for the first hour or so of playing but was let down by what I consider to be low-tier, obvious humor that's repeated throughout the game, a story that's trying to do too much at once and failing to deliver as a result and way to much heavy-handed political messaging.
