This game is terrible on the PC. (I love monster hunter, but i cant even play with my friends with these terrible online servers.) This kind of game is not meant for keyboard and mouse, and im sure everyone can relate (Switching gadgets, crossbow ammo, just everything is awful!) . Even the core game is frustrating, then when you accidentally fatfinger a button on your keyboard locking you into a combo, its over!

The monsters can stun you, then stun you again, then stun you again, then charge you while you're stunned, leaving you at no health forcing you to retreat to heal, and when you retreat, they run away across the whole map forcing you to chase them. If its a flying monster, theres a huge chance he'll fly off to another destination before you even arrive at the first destination. This is all while being on a timer of as short as 10 minutes. This has not seemed to have happened to me NEARLY as much on PS4 than it does on PC, and i feel like its because I'm not moving correctly during combat, and even maneuvering through the map, i accidentally jump off stuff cliffs, turn the wrong way, bring out my weapon.

Using WASD to move your character is basically giving you a rigid 4 direction movement system not allowing you to turn exactly where you want, VS an analog stick that moves 360 to ensure you look exacltly where your analog stick is aiming. Mouse movement means almost noting as far as aiming your character which is really unusual for PC gamers, because the mouse is always the one to dictate aim, and thats how its always been for PC. Simply not the case on monster hunter. The little time that I did spend playing online with my friends (1 lobby before the system stopped letting me connect LMFAO) i was hitting my friends more than the actual monster. My PC gaming inutition is to aim and click, but these controls are so counter-intuitive that it actually hurts me.

On my gaming computer, this game eats up around 80% of my CPU constantly, and still gets frame drops here and there. I was on a 50 minute mission literally at the reward screen, and my game crashed erasing ALL of the rewards from a 50 minute venture. EXTREMELY demoralizing. I CANNOT recommend this game to anyone who enjoys smooth gameplay from a AAA title. I get that this is not meant for PC, but wow, i cant refund this game because of my hours, i dont want to play because of how frustrating and unrefined everything is, its just a mess.

It hurts to make this review because of how much i love the monster hunter title, but wow, i am so incredibly disappointed.

PC: 2/10 would not recommend.
PS4: 9/10 would recommend any day

(This is coming from someone who is biased TOWARDS monster hunter)
