Holy heck, I didn't expect a GOTY to be released this year so early! The Characters, The Voice Acting, and THE MUSIC! All amazing! I would jam-out to the music more, but if I stand still to enjoy the tunes then the robots would kick my butt haha.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING THIS GAME, It feels like a Saturday Morning Cartoon with its humor!

However, completionist beware! The post-game is pretty difficult, but you're up for the challenge then go for it! I do have to warn that the game does NOT keep track of your collectibles in the stages so have a checklist/guide nearby (Maybe a future patch will fix that minor inconvenience)

Only a new nitpicks from me:

- I did run into a few glitches when I played but it wasn't enough to hinder my experience, I did have to replay from a checkpoint at once at one point cause the camera wouldn't lock onto Chai! Maybe I'm just unlucky with glitches haha

- Skipping cutscenes and dialogue/tutorials can be a tad chore on replay level playthroughs. While you can skip animated cutscenes, you can't skipped dialogue ones. I sorta wish there was a in-game option to skip "everything" to get you right into the action. Not a big deal, but it's nice to have as an option!

Those aside... BUY THIS GAME! SUPPORT THE DEVS, I even bought the Deluxe version to show my support! You won't regret your purchase!

This game! I don't where to start, I love the atmosphere and the characters, especially Niko. They are an incredible character who you just want to protect no matter what! The music helps build tense and knows when to calm you down on certain areas while you're exploring the environment. It's not a long game, but you'll enjoy the journey helping Niko out!

This will definitely pull at your heart strings a bunch, but you'll enjoy the Journey while you try to save everyone!

I cannot recommend this game enough and gifted a couple friends this title as well so they too can enjoy the story like how I did the first time! <3

I have this game on Steam and 3DS copy since release date. Beaten it multiple times and enjoy the challenges it gave me, all the trinkets are fun to collect. This game is simple and easy to complete, I really enjoy the map system showing you where to explore next to find your lost comrads. The music has to be up there as one of my favorite OSTs of all time, it has that retro feeling that wants you listen to it on repeat for hours and hours!

I recommend anyone to give this short game a shot, you won't be disappointed!

After watching a streamer play this game, it immediately peeked my interests and I wanted to try it out myself. Little did I know that it would become one of my favorite games in 2019 so far! I’ve already clocked a good amount of hours in it and still not done! At one point I was so into the game that I didn’t even notice the time because of how time consuming this game can be, at one point I even had to pry myself away to stop playing. The only thing I’d personally dislike is how grind heavy it can be late-game-ish but that’s a nitpick at best. Shout out to the devs for making such a cutesy addictive game, it’s most definitely worth the price tag. This is a BIG recommendation from me personally if you love these sort of games.

As a fan of Minecraft since the Alpha development for such a long time. I didn't think that Telltale would attempt to make a game based around a open-world sandbox title. They included some mechanics from the game like crafting and building in the story but other than that, its just another point and click game with Minecraft involved. The Voice Actors including the main protagonist can be define as a hit or miss depending on how you think of them. The animation in the gameplay/cutscenes can also be a hit or miss, because the way they move and interact in my opinion seems a tad awkward in some cases.

Closing arguments: I would only recommend you play this game if you played Minecraft or have decent knowledge about it or just a fan of Telltale games altogether (Walking Dead, Wolf Among us, etc). But you're expecting more than just a point and click adventure then this game will probably draw you away.

High Speed Action!

First Impression: Let's start out by saying I loved Sonic the Hedgehog as a kid and enjoyed the crap out of it. Seeing this game on KickStarter I was amazed on how much Sonic vibe from it.

Question: Does that mean this game is similiar/plays like a Sonic game?

It may LOOK like a Sonic game but how it plays is a whole lot different. The stages, how the characters move and attack and even the bosses have different variety.

The Characters: Now this review is taken from my own point of view and thoughts. I am here to say that I adore every voice acting that is shown in this game. The voices are a joy to listen to in the storyline and never annoyed me even for a second. I had many laughs and enjoyment from the humor that each character said.

Now one thing I enjoy in cutscenes is that I can skip them at will if I don't want to listen to the same story everytime. Luckily you can skip a certain scene or even skip to the next stage. They even thought ahead to put a nice "classic mode" so you don't have to listen to the storyline al all and go stage to stage.

Bosses: Surprising the bosses are pretty intense and can really kick your butt if you're not careful and have to start all over but overall I enjoyed how every boss played throughout the story.

Small issue:

-Some bosses (mostly the final boss) can easily stunlock you and make you almost instantly lose a single life if you aren't prepare.

Overall thoughts: If you are big fan of the high speed gameplay in games like Sonic. Then most likely you'll enjoy this game as much as I did!

Rating: 9.5/10
