Ok, first of all - "Station to Station" is NOT a tycoon game, and I'm fine with it. I have no idea how anyone can look at the store page and think it's a tycoon, but apparently some people did.

It's a pretty casual train puzzle, perfect to relax after work. The best analogy I can think of is "Train Valley" - you need to connect the "points of interest" and not get bancrupt. But this game is much more relaxed because there's no time limitations at all. The trains don't have a specific time to spawn and go, they can't crash, they... mostly a decoration. You chose where to build stations, how to connect them, sometemes you can chose the train itself - basic fright or passanger, or some special train that gives you extra money in specific conditions.
The tutorial is easy and intuituive, you won't be wandering "WTF is this thing?" and "how TF do I do this?" - all the mechanics are clear and simple.
The graphics - pixelated, but 3D, simplistic, but detailed. There's something very warm and comforting about this style. Everything looks like it was built in Minecraft!

Overall: If you like train puzzle games, like "Train Valley" - most likely you will enjoy "Station to Station". And if you liked this game - go check out "Train Valley"!

Boomer shooter meets Warhammer 40k! Do I need to say more? Grab your boltgun and go shoot some heretics!!

A lot of familiar weapon and familiar enemies that look EXACTLY like those miniatures on your shelf! Combine it with a nice 80-s style Heavy Metal soundtrack and you get a descent WH40k shooter, that shoud've come out a couple of decades ago, but somehow didn't.

Though if you don't have any miniatures but like retro-style shooters- you can still enjoy this game.

The only problem for me is it's very arena-oriented, I prefer more crridor level design.

Is it worth full price? Maybe not, better take it on sale like I did.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, upd. after beating the game and on my way to the 100%

- Enemies: the're familiar, but... not a lot of variety here. It's Chaos Space Marines of differnt types (CSM, terminators, aspiring champs), cultists with differnt weapons, and Chaos Demons of Nurgle and Tzeench. No Orks, no Tyranids, Necrons, or anyone else, no Cult Legions (Plague Marines, Thousand Sons) - only Black Legion. This can sound OK, but for the 3 chapters - it's getting repetitive pretty fast, especially considering there is no variety between the chapterts. You will meet all these guys not only in one chapter, but in one level! Yes, Tzeench and Nurgle demons are in the same level and even in the same arena!.
It would be much better if each chapter location was corrupted by different Chaos God (add Khorne).

- Music: it rocks! ...in the main menu. The in-game music is... OK... Some techno-rock, nothing special, nothing memorable and ALWAYS THE SAME! Why didn't they make a couple more tracks in same style of the main menu theme for the game - no idea!

- Gameplay loop is usually this: you walk through the corridor, enter a huge arena, the doors close and a ton of different enemies of all sorts are spawning around you. Kinda reminds me of Painkiller, but Painkiller had DIFFERNT enemies and DIFFERENT music in different levels, and here... It's a same'ol, saame'ol situaaation (c)

This game has a potential to be great, but it's mediocre... sadly.

Still think it's worth getting on sale, but ONLY on sale.

Ok. This game is wired and it's not for everyone, but there's something special about it.
A lot of people will drop it in the beginning, but those who stay - they will stay till the ending. The true ending.
On the surface level it's a mix of Deus Ex and Warhammer 40k, very atmospheric! Gameplay is pretty common shooter - RPG with a ton of freedom. I think the game can even be called Immersive Sim - you've got different ways to complete some missions, like go all guns blazing, bribe someone, or hack - depends on what you do better.
But the strongest part really is the plot. It's wierd, it's cryptic, but if you solve the puzzle... Let's just say it's not what you will expect in the beginning.
It has all the pros and cons of indie game - great idea, unique features and low budget that prevents it to become a real masterpiece. Outdated grapics are overweighted by the STYLE!
so...

Gemeplay: 8/10
Graphics: don't care /10
Style: 666/10
Story: endless cycles of guilt/10

If you want something unusual - try it, but be sure that your legs are OK!

Ok... first of all
THIS IS NOT A SOOTER!
It has some shooter mechanics, but they're not the focus, so don't expect DOOM in Giger world. It is basicly a walking simulator with some shooting.
now when we have this out of the way...

The game is pure art! Very dark and disturbing, but art. The visuals are clearly the strongest part of the game, but thogether with sound design it creates such an atmosphere that you won't find any where else. You literally get into the Giger and sometimes Beksinsly paintings!
The story is cryptic, but not too much. you can understand it easily if you pay attension to the details. Biopunk at its finest!
The gameplay is mostly a walking simulator with puzzles and some ocasional shooting, though you can beat the game almost without killing - the creatures don't care about you too musch and if you back off and stealth - they will mind their own buisiness. So just don't rush - this is a slow game and it is best when you expierence it slowly.
The biggest problem of the game is its length. The devs cut out too much, I hope some day they will release some kind of directors cut.
As for now - the game is clearly bnot for everyone and never meaned to be. Most likely you either love it or hate it so before buying - watch some videos, read some articles etc.

Ok. So this game has issues. It's short, it's sometimes buggy, the story is.. not great, but... The atmosphere, dude! It's ll about the atmosphere!
It feels like you're inside a dream that you can't escape. You're walking around the island, then.. something happens and you're alredy running from a huge shoggoth, then ... again on the shore, releasing Dagon, etc.
You'll see Dagon holding the monolith, Cthulhu rising from the sea, Shub-Niggurath spawning the Dark Young, Nyarlathotep above the pyramid and even Azatoth in space!

One thing really bothered me.
Cthulhu laughing and talking like your typical villain wanting to destroy the world and some kind of conflict between him and Nyarlathotep. This is too.. Derleth-y. But you can ignore that, that's just a short momet, and the atmosphere is still great.

If you want an other Call of Cthulhu or Amnesia - move along, if you want soomething more dreamy, closer to Dagon and Silver Key and can look past some typical indie problems - get it!

Also the developer is reading all the bug reports and fixing the game, so it;s gonna be more polished.

I like survival games. I also like steamunk. FINALLY someone combined these two things in one game!

As for the game itself, it's kinda like Subnautica, but you only have Cyclops to upgrade and build... and it looks like a giant drill-locomotive-train... and moves underground instead of underwatter... If it 's not badass enough for you, add the steam-powered robots riding the similar drill-trains and trying to kill you.

The game is in early access for now, but totally playable and worth getting if you like tis kind of stuff.

Goggles down, cannons up!
Join the crew of the battle zeppilin and kick some enemie baloons!
Interesting gameplay, good steampunk atmosphere, nice community and the developers that care.
