Pretty short but sweet VN. As the reader, you have a choice of continuing the game as a friend or lover. Either choice has a separate story line so I'd recommend playing through a second time choosing the alternate route to get more out of the game. Each route also has a good and bad ending. You don't really get many dialog options and they don't really branch into newer scenes, just different reactions leading towards the same linear path. Either way, the story is still very cute and worth playing.

Early Access Review
For the $20 price I'm on the fence with whether or not I'd recommend the game in it's current state. I'll give it a thumbs up though because I see potential.

This review is subject to change as more content is released. At its current stage I don't feel like it has much, if any, replay value. Played a little bit of creative to see how far you can actually go with building and "beat" the game itself in about 8 hrs. Basically all your time is spent aimlessly floating around picking up floating debris. Eventually you'll find islands you may or may not be able to climb for supplies and search the sea floor beneath it for materials. Once you get the ball rolling and expand your raft and build better things, the game is just easy mode. Again, not much to the game as of right now but it definitely has potential.

Pros:
Nice graphics.
Musics pretty chill.
Fun with friends.
Gives you a sense of struggle in the early stages.

Cons:
1 shark. Not actually very threatening.
Gets super easy as you progress.
You can only build on the raft.

Deck Nine really surprised me with this one. I came in with some low expectations considering it was a new developer as well as a whole new voice cast and it turned out to be everything I had hoped for if not better. Despite this being a prologue to events already known, they still managed to make a compelling set of circumstances and characters really pull you in.

Long story short, this game is definitely a must play. Amazing OST, fantastic VA, down to earth and relatable characters, compelling story and just overall very atmospheric. You're missing out if you don't give this gem a try.

Definitely recommend this game for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. Talk about nostalgia. Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist features battles from the original anime as well as its spinoffs. The game includes over 6,000 cards, over 90 characters and over 230 duels. The game also allows you to build and use your own custom built decks to complete campaign mode. You start out with a few premade decks but you're rewarded with cards and DP (duelist points) as you continue winning duels. Eventually you'll unlock packs in the card shop that you can purchase with the DP you earned. It's literally almost the same feeling you get when you buy booster packs IRL; estatic when you pull a card you wanted but appalled by the amount of money (DP in this case) you spent just to get that one card.

Pros:
+ Campaign Nostalgia
+ Easy Deck Building
+ Tutorial for New Players
+ Automatic Mechanics
+ 3 Pot of Greed in Campaign

Cons:
- Bland Music
- Animations, while minimum, are very lacking graphic wise and you can't skip it
- Pacing. Slower than you would expect on YgoPro due to animations.

If you want a game where everything is already available, up-to-date, fast paced and competitive, maybe this isn't the game for you. But if you want a more casual session filled with nostalgia, go ahead and pick this game up. It's definitely worth it.

UPDATE:

Game's dead never to be finished.. While I enjoyed the two episodes that had been released, it's not enough to make up for the lack of an ending.

Old review:

This game is definitely worth playing. Easily made it into my favorites list and I'm excited to see what new adventures the future episodes hold.

PROS:
+Stunning graphics
+Phenomenal storyline
+Sultry piano music
+Dark/Suspense/Mystery
+Interesting characters
+Atmospheric
+Noir-style black and white with splashes of red

CONS:
-Dislike the fact that in most cases you have to slowly walk to your destination
-Framerate drops occassionally (might just be me)
-Aim is a bit slow and inaccurate
-Voice acting is...eh. Some good and some bad

Overall I thouroughly enjoyed the game thus far. The cinematic feel is refreshing and it's pretty similar to Telltales works. The gameplay is relatively simple and straight forward, nothing complicated and easy to control. Each episode is fairly lengthy. The action scenes are neat and helps move the story along. The story itself is easy to follow and understand. You get to experience step-by-step detective work while investigating scenes and put all the pieces together like a puzzle. The dialog choices affect your play later on and range from being friendly, rude, or pretty neutral. The game isn't without it's flaws but I'd rate it an 8/10.

It's quite difficult to properly rate this game. As someone who hasn't read the comics but rather watched the TV series, I probably didn't appreciate it as much.

First off, each episode is roughly an hour long. While I get that it's a miniseries, it still feels like it's way too short for the price you're paying. Telltale does however deliver with stunning graphics and an amazing soundtrack and VA.

Honestly I think I felt annoyed more than anything while I was playing. Half of the time you ended up with Michonne having hallucinations/flashbacks and seeing her daughters right in the middle of what should be important events. It took away from the events that were happening in real time. Maybe if I read the comics I would understand more but for someone who didn't, everything felt so vague in this series. It's like they put more time into the action scenes than the story itself. Seeing Michonne in action is cool and all but I'd prefer learning more about her. The story was decent but it wasn't engaging in any sort of way. When I started playing it seemed interesting but soon after I found myself wondering when it would be over.

The characters introduced have no real character development for you to get invested in them. Any interaction you have with 90% of the characters lasts only for a moment and then it's over. At no point would you feel any kind of attachment to them so whether or not they die doesn't really matter to you. Overall the characters felt bland.

Also, the whole 'choice's matter' really doesn't apply to this game. At least with the other two series your actions and dialog affect your gameplay to a degree. In this series it doesn't matter if Pete or Sam will remember what you said. Literally nothing will happen anyway. It also irked me to know that sometimes when you decide not to make a choice, the game will make it for you. Felt like a repeat of Beyond: Two Souls. Your only real big choice is during the finale. Live or stay with your daughters in your hallucination and I'm assuming die. Let's be real, for a big choice, it's practically already made for you. The dialog choices you get are questionable. As I said I never read the comics so I don't know what she was like before but it doesn't feel like anything Michonne would say.

In terms of recommending the game, I'd say no. It's an okay game but not for $15. You're better off saving that money for something else. It's a short game so if you get the chance to play it then by all means go for it but just be ready for a bit of disappointment.
